Thanks armchair QB. Looked pretty nice last year for OK.

Didn't look that great when he got benched literally in the middle of a National Championship by one of college footballs all time great coaches.

Speaking of sources...how do you state that as a fact?

Google it. Word was out with multiple insiders

You know what? Actually he did. Because when Tua then threw a TD he was that dude celebrating his teammate. So yeah, actually he did.

Mims was the 13th receiver picked. 32 GMs passed on him multiple times

You mean sort of like Hurts was?

Yeah I was more looking at his on field performance. Not his cheerleading. Although I guess since he will be riding the bench for 4 years he will need that skill.

Maybe not,now we have some leverage.Howie gets what he wants or he doesnt do it.he makes ONE offer usually take it or leave it.This could change and put some pressure on Jax.Once again I will say this may NOT be the reason we drafted him.Gotta wonder also if a Pats trade comes into play.hard to see them starting with Stidham at QB

I don't believe that a trade is even a thought in this.        The Eagles are looking at this as what they perceive as getting ahead of the league with regard to the evolving offensive schemes, and they see Hurts as another offensive weapon.        That's the theory I'm sticking with until proven otherwise.

And he hasn't finished the year as the starter the last 3 straight years. You seem to be leaving that fact off when you say 'he's just 27'

So let's trade him, and build around Hurts if it's that bad.

The other theory being floated is that he is a possible replacement to our 27 year old 100 million dollar QB.

Way to call the bluff lol. We would be in the dumpster of the NFCE.

Haha ok, that was funny. But hey, I think he has shown character there.

Like I said, I think he will see the field often enough in these 4 years to be worth it. But if Wentz is 100% healthy all these years all the power to him!

Man and here I was waiting for Doug to say how much he hated the pick.

This is why I don't think Hurts is happy either. What college QB wants to go and be a certain backup. I only get to play if someone gets hurt! He prob wanted to go somewhere he could compete. I think you can agree Wentz vs Hurts isn't even a competition.

It's a challenge for both of them, no doubt. I bet Hurts was hoping to be taken early first round by a team where he will eventually be the franchise. To let go of that with only getting to play a very limited time is not easy. I wonder if they have a plan to give him a perspective that he can get behind with. Anyways both are high character and we got a HC that is said to be a players coach.. I will just cut them some slack here and assume that they know exactly what they are doing.

Maybe this offense is about to change a bit more than we anticipate..

If your expecting a 2 QB system haven't you ever heard the saying if you have 2 QB's you have none? Besides Wentz is to good to steal snaps from.

I just can't wait for the Post COVID-19 Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at the Eagles' new QB Factory!!:towel:

Guess you didn’t watch much Oklahoma last year.

You’re so butthurt. It’s giving me hours of entertainment.

Nah I like defense. Somthing the Big 12 lacks. Of course he looked better playing there than SEC defenses.

I CAN agree on that.

Yet you’re all over Lamb’s jock. Who was throwing him the ball again against those crappy Big 12 defenses?

Yeah it was an off the cuff justification for the pick...which incidentally means there was no preconceived justification for the pick. Since then, there have been numerous justification floated to see if any work.

Whether he turns out to be good for the Eagles or not, it was certainly a very stupid statement. Howie was so bad in his presser that he had to keep deferring to Weidl. Look I hope the kid develops super fast and provides tremendous insurance on the short term and massive trade compensation in the long term. Of course not all hopes are realized.

I am compared to Reagor. Who in the same defenseless conference couldn't do jack.

Yet another thing we disagree on. I think Reagor is a great player, too! 😁

I've made my peace with that pick. He just brought it up again. I like the day 3 picks. 1st night was ok. 2nd was disastrous.

you do agree that Reagor's QB was junior High School quality, right?

They do have a habit of making lifetime quotable material.

They should stop that and get some PR help.
