He does have a no-trade clause, so the Eagles would have to really make a strong pitch and other teams will probably have a better supporting cast. However, the Eagles do have the 6th overall pick and could potentially give the Texans a more attractive trade package. With Watson on board there's no need for Wentz or Hurts on this roster so they can recoup some draft capital or even include one of the two in the trade with the Texans. Watson is certainly worth the 2 first round picks plus price tag that the Texans will likely demand. Of course the key question here is whether the team is better off with keeping the players they would draft with those picks and hope one of Wentz/Hurts play like a franchise QB or if they are better off paying the steep price for Watson and hope he can elevate this current roster? I’d be all for a Watson trade but the compensation would be huge and might set us back multiple years because it’s going to take multiple first rounders and change. The whole QB carrousel does Wentz’s trade value no favors if we can even trade him at all. But for the sake of the argument; if we can somehow get something nice in return for Wentz, say a 2nd rounder, and we’d have to give up two first rounders and some mid round picks, I’d say; go for it! It's more of a pipe dream though since I doubt Watson would want to join the Eagles with our current situation on offense. Asks for a trade and suddenly all these allegations come out. And the lawyer handling the case used to be McNair’s neighbor? I don’t know.
