Considering how Philip never hid how much he hated Fergie in the 1980s and still avoids her at family gatherings today, especially after those weight watcher ads.... Or his dislike of Anne's many husbands or Margaret's alcohol problem. Etc. Meghan may not have liked the thought of opening a community centre in Skegness, but that's the reality of being a royal. For every glitzy Gala event, there are many more dull interactions with the plebeians where hopes and prayers from afar won't work.

From what I've gathered, geneticists only really have tentative understandings about how alleles interact and are expressed. DNA is wild. There's still much we don't know and no hard formula that you can use to determine a person's features. @DEagle7 might have some insight on this. Couple things to keep in mind: Most phenotypic traits are associated with multiple genes (eye color for example is controlled by something like 10-20 genes). Not all contribute equally there is a lot of room for subtle variations. Small variations in genetic code from parent to offspring occur pretty frequently, the most common being a single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) where basically a single piece of your genetic code changes, which can affect the amino acid coded and ultimately the phenotypes. Furthermore, specific mutations don't always just affect protein type, but can affect the folding of the protein, the amount of protein produced or even a repressor to a certain protein, all of which can affect how much of a certain protein is expressed or how effective a certain protein is at producing certain phenotypes (physical traits). These mutations can have dramatic effects on protein structure production and function even from small mutations. There is the idea of "penetrance" in genetic expression, ie what is the likelihood a particular genotype is to express a particular phenotype. These more subtle changes are a big reason why. Then there's epigenetics, or changes to the non-coding section of your DNA that alter its ability to function. Think of it like a newspaper. The writing and articles are the genetic code. However someone has crumpled certain pages/sections so you can only read certain parts at any given time. The VAST majority of your DNA is not accessible to your cells at any given moment (ie crumpled up) parts. This is how you can have the same DNA in the cells of your gut, skin, and brain but how they produce a dramatically different array of proteins. This also applies to redundant genes inherited by parents, as often one chromosome or portion of a chromosome is relatively "crumpled" by your cells and it's not always in a symmetric or consistent fashion so basically sometimes you can get relatively more "mom" than "dad" for a certain swatch of genes. This can vary from cell to cell even within the same cell lines as well resulting in some degree of a genetic mosaic. Extrinsic factors like stress and diet and environment can impact epigenetics pretty profoundly as well so there's yet another layer there. TL;DR all your wives cheated on you and yes, he was bigger

March 11, 20214 yr Why did Meghan try and go to a HR department that doesn't exist, about mental health problems and not her husband, the love of her life? Isn't that just a strange thought process, a lack of trust in her husband to understand/help or perhaps indicative of how she sees her marriage? A job. Just like the other marriage and engagement she had. Looking for a trade up. As for getting in a car, as long as Meghan doesn't go to France and employ a drunk to drive her around, she's good 16 hours ago, Toastrel said: Not sure how any of that is bending over backwards. They paid for the wedding ($45 million), allowed her to choose the guest list to include celebrities, gave her access to various antique jewellery so she'd be perfect on the day (rather than the standard, this is what you get, love), allowed them to get married days before and kept it quiet (not protocol), paid for a refurbishment of Frogmore Cottage ($7 million) to her standard, including yoga studio etc after they flounced away from Kensington Palace to keep them happy. Let alone allowing the couple to pick and choose the jobs they wanted, or cover up the many instances of Meghan's bullying of staff using NDAs rather than deal with the issue. Or allowing them to step away temporarily while they reviewed their options but still paying for security, life expenses, etc. Harry and Meghan were treated very well and far better than the victimhood they are portraying. Royal life may not have been what Meghan thought it would be (and I do get that), but the couple reek of a privilege many of us will never ever see. Shouting racist is a good way to hide from those who won't know any better, what a rich and self obsessed couple they are. If Charles had allowed Harry to carry on playing the Woke Prince of Bel Air and paid his bills, this would be a complete non-issue.

Not sure where you get your information from, like her husband not knowing or being talked to - it sure seemed to me they were on the same page.

It was explained in the papers over here last weekend that there is a Crown employer for staff (cleaners, gardeners, cooks, etc), not for members of the family. As it's family. I cant go to HR if my nephew calls me an old fart can I? How would Meghan not know that? Did she get confused with HRH (Her Royal Highness), the queens acronym and think there was an HR department? And one of those stories is falling apart already - from a leftie paper over here https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/meghan-markle-took-13-foreign-23673530

I'm guessing it's some colonial-era ceremony in an African nation that was formerly part of the British Empire. It was probably a "welcoming gesture" to the visitation of a royal figure, and it's probably something that probably originated in African kingdoms to honor dynastic/tribal leaders, but these ceremonies often shifted as displays of fealty to colonizers wanting to establish supremacy and claim legitimacy by appropriating African traditions. Even after decolonization, these practices often continued under the guise of "tradition" but really for the purpose of perpetuating imperial hierarchies.
