No.  Not because I make Vikas polo shirt money, but because my travel expenses in 2019 was taxed as income artificially inflating my gross income.

I’m poor so I’m expecting $5600.  But my family’s income was over 160k in 2020 so I’m obviously waiting to file my 2020 taxes.

Smart!   The converse is doable as well. If you’re expecting to make less in 2021 you can claim it now. Not sure the process but some people are loading up the 401k in 2021 to be able to lower their AGI.

So not getting it, means you're paying it.

Yep. It blows. Don’t get me wrong, I’d rather have the higher income and not be struggling like some, but I feel like Howie Roseman is running the stimulus plan and finding ways to not pay people

Yes, haha.  My country of residence has a reciprocal tax agreement with the US and high taxes so I end up with a very low taxable amount on my US return.  Just a couple of old left over US accounts that generate some small dividends and interest.

Suck eggs.

Since I wasn't traveling, I fall into that category.  Only problem is I got a message from our tax preparer that made it sounds like he will be done just before the deadline <_<

I did the same the last 2 stims. The first used my 2019 and I got the whole thing. The 2nd used my 2020 and got part of it. But this one, even using 2020 I am over.

Oh well, I actually prefer that people that need it get it. I have been very fortunate the past few years and our household income drastically increased each year.
