May 27, 20205 yr Nothing says small government like more regulation of specific businesses which the state deems uncooperative with their political agenda and the state mandated shut down of private enterprise. @Kz! this is truly peak libertarianism right here.

And bonus points to all the people who don't understand that the first amendment doesn't apply to a private entity choosing to censor posts. Was in a discussion with someone on Facebook yesterday (don't even ask me why as it's completely pointless) who was trying to say that facebook and twitter choosing to censor some of his posts was a violation of his first amendment rights. I explained to him that the first amendment prohibits the government from infringing on his free speech, not a private entity. He then responded with some nonsense about Section 230 that literally had nothing to do with free speech, so I had to explain to him what Section 230 of Title 47 of the US Code actually says. And then I gave him the citations for numerous supreme court cases that upheld the ruling that the first amendment only applies to government abridgment of free speech, and does not apply to private entities. He responded with some incoherent nonsense and told me I need to "open my eyes" and that they are trying to stop the spread of inconvenient truths. Now mind you, this same person only a week ago made a post claiming that Hydroxychloroquine was "literally the cure" for COVID-19. But he's going to lecture me about the spread of misinformation and lies.

We have zuker and Mike from WV for that.

I'm just curious how libertarian you think the government threatening to revenge-regulate a business is. Goldwater-level or are we talking full-on Jeffersonian here?
