Hopefully he’ll manage to read the script he is given and not deviate from it.
May 31, 20205 yr Just like the COVID crisis he is completely incapable of doing anything that will help. His only options are to send in the military or wait it out. He is a horrible horrible POTUS and is a stain on the country. Eight more months of him to go and then good riddance.
May 31, 20205 yr He’s applied his autocratic style of business leadership to the presidency, and it doesn’t work. He leans more towards dictator than anyone the radical right calls "dictator”. We’ve heard him now on more than one occasion attempt to eschew the Constitution. In the immortal words of Ariana Grande...Thank You, Next.

I am seriously starting to doubt that this can go on for 8 more months at the rate that it is unravelling. I honestly can't tell you exactly how this will go down, but in my view the chances of a peaceful transition are diminishing by the day.

It starts with the current climate and with the nightly protests underway. Trump blames ANTIFA and calls them a terrorist organization. That gives him a ton of legal power to do all sorts of things to ANTIFA under the Patriot Act. But who exactly is ANTIFA? Trump will cast a very wide net over the left netting all sort of lefties and nearly all of the protesters. It won't stop there. His net will include those in political power like AOC and perhaps even the likes of Schiff and Pelosi. He'll use the classification of ANTIFA as a terrorist group to essentially tear apart the Democratic Party and the entire US left.

Not sure his Antifa terrorist designation will hold. https://www.cnn.com/2020/05/31/politics/trump-antifa-protests/index.html Current and former government officials say it would be unconstitutional for the US government to proscribe First Amendment-protected activity inside the US based on simple ideology. US law allows terrorist designations for foreign groups since belonging to those groups doesn't enjoy the same protections.

May 31, 20205 yr Just now, Dave Moss said: The terrorist designation falls short because they’re protected under the Constitution as American citizens. So how is that a conspiracy idea?
May 31, 20205 yr 2 minutes ago, Dave Moss said: Because William Barr runs the Department of Justice So Barr rules correctly according to the Constitution. That's a very boring conspiracy idea.
May 31, 20205 yr Just now, Dave Moss said: Sorry man. If it makes you feel better me and Munson were laughing about some of your posts in the other thread. So you still got your right wing cred. That does make me feel better. Which ones were you laughing at? btw - Tell Munson he's still a piece of sheet.
May 31, 20205 yr 1 minute ago, Dave Moss said: Well ok but I didn't give any examples as to what I meant by that. All I said was that I found Obama to be very divisive in his 2nd term which I did. Still if you and Munson found it funny then that's a plus.
May 31, 20205 yr 1 minute ago, Dave Moss said: To be fair, you didn’t say that, but we both read it the same way, so... Ok. That wasn't a specific issue for me but you can go with it if you like.
May 31, 20205 yr 4 minutes ago, DrPhilly said: @Dave Moss btw - It has been good to have you around again. Said no one ever... the fact he sides with a POS like Munson tells you all you need to know of his character. Probably still pretending to be an academic and mooching off his wifes job

May 31, 20205 yr 5 minutes ago, Dave Moss said: Ferguson was in 2014 so I think that’s probably why that’s what I thought of. I can’t speak for Munson. Fair enough. I wasn't thinking about that in this post today but I certainly wanted Obama to call out those that were violent during the protests of that period and I'm sure we had some discussion about that six years ago.
May 31, 20205 yr 2 minutes ago, Dave Moss said: The contrast between Obama and Trump on racial issues is the biggest imho. We went from a President who was critical of law enforcement to one who is tweeting "when the looting starts the shooting starts.” My words said Obama was at 1AA level and Trump was a pro HOFer with regards to being divisive.
May 31, 20205 yr 1 minute ago, DrPhilly said: My words said Obama was at 1AA level and Trump was a pro HOFer with regards to being divisive. Agree to disagree. I didn’t find Obama divisive. Sure he said some dumb things: you didn’t build that, elections have consequences, people clinging to guns and religion, etc. Trump exceeds that every day.
