November 9, 20213 yr Author Quote If you blinked you missed it. Former President Donald Trump filed an emergency request to a federal judge late Monday night to prevent the National Archives from sending sensitive records to Jan. 6 committee investigators by Friday. And just after midnight, Judge Tanya Chutkan rejected it, contending the request itself was legally defective and "premature.” The unusual exchange, which happened in a span of two hours, comes as Chutkan is already considering an earlier request by Trump to prevent Congress from peering into his White House’s records about his attempt to overturn the 2020 election. Trump sued to block the National Archives from turning the records over last month, after President Joe Biden declined to assert executive privilege on his behalf. The Archives indicated it would turn the papers over to lawmakers by Friday, unless a court intervened. The National Archives has indicated that Trump is seeking to block at least 750 pages out of an initial 1,500 unearthed in response to the Jan. 6 committee’s request for records about the former president’s effort to overturn the election. Many of those papers are culled from the files of senior Trump aides like Mark Meadows, Stephen Miller and Patrick Philbin. They also include call and visitor logs. what is cheeto trying to hide? hmm.......

November 9, 20213 yr News that isn't news: 13 senior Trump officials violated the Hatch Act during 2020 election. https://osc.gov/Documents/Hatch Act/Reports/Investigation of Political Activities by Senior Trump Administration Officials During the 2020 Presidential Election.pdf Quote Congress’s judgment in passing the Hatch Act was that "partisan political activities by federal employees must be limited if the Government is to operate effectively and fairly, elections are to play their proper part in representative government, and employees themselves are to be sufficiently free from improper influences.” None of those goals is achievable if the power of the federal government is used to campaign for candidates, as happened during the 2020 election cycle.
November 11, 20213 yr Quote “[Trump’s] position that he may override the express will of the executive branch appears to be premised on the notion that his executive power ‘exists in perpetuity,'” Chutkan said. "But Presidents are not kings, and Plaintiff is not President. He retains the right to assert that his records are privileged, but the incumbent President ‘is not constitutionally obliged to honor’ that assertion.” That's right, Donnie Dewshberry. You are not president. You are not king. You are a former civil servant. SERVANT. You are a bloated POS who tried to destroy our country. Consequences are coming for you and yours.

"The great people of Serbia and Kosovo have overcome tremendous obstacles in their pursuit of economic normalization,” said Trump in a statement. "The agreements my administration brokered are historic and should not be abandoned, many lives are at stake. The region is too important and the people have waited too long for this work to be cast aside.” "Today, my Envoy Ambassador Ric Grenell visited the Kosovo-Serbia border to highlight this important agreement,” he continued. "Just like we proved in the Middle East with the Abraham Accords, peace and economic normalization is possible, but it takes a sincere effort and unwavering leadership. Peace is possible, don’t give up – long term prosperity for those two nations is at stake!” In response, a White House official mocked Trump to RealClearPolitics White House reporter Philip Wegmann. "Outside of his very active imagination, Donald Trump is no longer President and doesn’t have any ‘envoy ambassadors’ representing the United States,” they said. cheeto's dementia is getting worse

November 15, 20213 yr Author Quote Former President Donald Trump encouraged staffers to feel free to break the law, his onetime press secretary Stephanie Grisham told CNN’s Jim Acosta on Saturday. Grisham’s revelations came just days after a federal investigative report revealed that at least 13 former Trump officials violated the Hatch Act by intermingling their government duties with campaigning. They did so without consequence and with the administration’s approval as part of a "willful disregard for the Hatch Act,” which bars officials from using their platforms to influence elections, concluded the report by the Office of Special Counsel. "In the White House, when we would get Hatch Act violations, that was a badge of honor,” Grisham told Acosta. "It was a joke in the White House. The president used to say to us, ‘You know who’s in charge of the Hatch Act? It’s me, [so] go ahead, say whatever you want to say.’” 🤡🌎
November 15, 20213 yr Author Quote With then-Vice President Mike Pence set to take the reigns in certifying the Electoral College results affirming now-President Joe Biden's victory, Trump had been pressuring his No. 2 to overturn the election. The New York Times reported in January that Trump went so far as to call Pence on January 6 as the then-vice president was leaving his residence to oversee the vote certification. "You can either go down in history as a patriot," Trump reportedly said, according to two people familiar with conversation, "or you can go down in history as a ****." When ABC News Chief Washington Correspondent Jonathan Karl in a March 18 interview had asked Trump if the report was accurate, the former president didn't dismiss the comments. "I wouldn't dispute it," he told Karl. Karl responded: "Really?" The former president repeated his statement: "I wouldn't dispute it." 🤡🌎

'Are you gonna say you got it from me?' Trump asked when calling from Walter Reed Medical Center in October 2020, Christie revealed in his book, according to an excerpt published in The New York Times Monday. Christie and Trump both came down with coronavirus after the 'superspreader' event in the White House Rose Garden after Amy Coney Barrett was selected to replace late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. 🤡🌎
