Former President Donald Trump blew up at Chris Christie after the former New Jersey governor and Trump ally brought up Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump's apparent self-enrichment from their White House roles during presidential debate prep last year.

Preparing for his first debate against then-candidate Joe Biden, Trump had gathered in the Map Room in the White House basement with Christie, campaign manager Bill Stepien, advisor Jason Miller, Rudy Giuliani, White House Counsel Kellyanne Conway, advisor Stephen Miller, Hope Hicks, Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany, and Chief of Staff Mark Meadows.

Christie was tasked with playing Biden for a mock debate session, while Conway served as moderator. According to the book, Giuliani was transfixed with Hunter Biden's controversial business dealings in Ukraine, urging the former president to attack Biden over the issue.

"Rudy was being a disruptive force," one of the attendees told Karl. "No matter what we were talking about, all he wanted to do was talk about Hunter Biden."

As Giuliani struggled to display a video that purportedly showed more evidence of Biden's corruption — his iPad kept freezing up — Christie came to see the line of attack as a risky strategy for Trump, given his own ethics issue. Acting in character as Joe Biden, he went on the attack to illustrate the point.

"You have real nerve talking about relatives taking advantage of political power," Christie said, according to Karl. "You've invited your daughter and son-in-law into the White House and they made $36 million last year while they were doing the people's business. Your family traded the influence they have in the White House to make tens of millions of dollars."

"That's absolutely untrue! We've lost money here," Trump responded to Christie. "We've lost money here. My children are losing money being here. Jared has sacrificed more than anyone being away from his business. He hasn't made any kind of money."

As Christie continued to press the issue with Trump, the former president grew incensed.

"I'm not going to sit here and put up with this crap," he said, reportedly glaring at Christie.

Christie then stepped back from his character to warn Trump. "If you go too deeply into the Hunter Biden stuff, this is the kind of stuff he will hit you back on. You've got to be ready for that. My job is to get you ready," he said.

"I don't want to hear anymore," Trump said. "I know what they're going to say. Enough. Let's move on."

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A U.S. judge on Tuesday will hear arguments in a long-running lawsuit over whether Congress can obtain former President Donald Trump's tax returns from the Internal Revenue Service.

Trump was the first president in 40 years not to release his tax returns as he aimed to keep secret the details of his wealth and activities of his family company, the Trump Organization. The dispute lingers on some 10 months after he left office.

If Trump was a democrat fox news would be running stories non-stop about "cover-ups". Between his continuous fights not to show his tax returns and Jan 6 alone Fox would squeeze years of kvetching and millions in ad revenue.

Chris Christie said there was a big difference between how former President Donald Trump and the former first lady Melania Trump treated him when he was hospitalized with COVID-19 last October.

Christie told "The View" on Monday that Melania "called me every day that I was in the ICU, first thing in the morning, to see how I was doing. And then would call my wife after that to see if she needed anything."

He said that this was very different to how Trump reacted.

He said it was "a real contrast between the couple."

In his new book, an excerpt of which was published in The New York Times, Christie said Trump called to make sure he wouldn't be blamed for the infection. Trump was also in the hospital with COVID-19 at the time, Christie said.

"Are you going to say you got it from me?" Christie said Trump asked him, according to the book.

Christie also told "The View" that Trump asked him how he was feeling, and that Trump, who also had an active COVID-19 infection at the time, asked: "How do tough guys like us get this?"

"What he was most concerned about was that I wasn't gonna blame him," Christie said.

The outlet obtained an excerpt of the conversation between the two men which will air on Thanksgiving on Right Side Broadcasting Network, a conservative channel.

"I have said we’re going to melt down machines and use them into prison bars,” Mr Lindell told his ally, who was thanked for "standing firm” and for refusing to accept his 2020 defeat.

Mr Trump, who had apparently given "strength to millions of people”, allegedly told Mr Lindell that it was "very interesting”.

He added that it was "a very good idea” to melt the voting machines, which were among the list of complaints from the former president’s lawyers a year ago. Those also included claims that Hugo Chavez, the former president of Venezuela, was some at fault for the election outcome.

Mr Chavez died in 2013.

I mean, that aside, it really shows the intelligence level. "Tough guys don't get sick" is the mentality of a 4 year old who believes in superheroes. It's been said about a million times but the country had maybe the worst leadership possible during a pandemic.

I can just look on gasbuddy.com and see how much gas prices are in California.  They're between $4 and $5
