Trump Urges Biggest Protest 'Ever' if Prosecutors Investigating Him 'Do Anything Illegal'

Former President Donald Trump on Saturday told his supporters he hopes there will be massive nationwide protests if prosecutors investigating him and his businesses "do anything illegal."

Speaking during a rally in Conroe, Texas, Trump also accused prosecutors of being "racist" and maintained his innocence amid multiple probes into his private business dealings and actions while he was president.

"If these radical, vicious, racist prosecutors do anything wrong or illegal, I hope we are going to have in this country the biggest protest we have ever had in Washington DC, in New York, in Atlanta and elsewhere because our country and our elections are corrupt," Trump said during the rally on Saturday night.

"In reality, they're not after me, they're after you, and I just happen to be the person in the way," Trump later added.

Trump has been the subject of numerous investigations since he left office. Among them, includes an investigation by the House select committee probing whether or not the former president or his allies committed crimes when hundreds of his supporters violently stormed the U.S. Capitol to stop President Joe Biden's election certification on January 6, 2021.

Investigators have so far issued dozens of subpoenas or requested voluntary testimonies from Trump's closest allies and family members, including Rudy Giuliani and Ivanka Trump. Trump has repeatedly downplayed the violence at the Capitol and denies he incited the riot, despite urging his supporter to "fight like hell" just before the insurrection began.

Trump is also facing years-long investigations into his private businesses by New York Attorney General Letitia James and the Manhattan district attorney's office. Earlier this month, James announced that her office has uncovered "significant" evidence to suggest the Trump Organization committed fraud.

The former president also faces a "substantial risk" of prosecution in Georgia for his attempts to sway the state's Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to "find" votes to help him win the 2020 presidential election.

"For years, they've been going after my company, many years, using every trick in the book in an attempt to literally–if they can–put me in jail. They want to put me in jail," Trump told his supporters during the Saturday rally. Trump also accused investigators of committing "prosecutorial misconduct at the highest level" and accused them of being vicious, racist and "mentally sick."

"They're going after me without any protection of my rights by the Supreme Court or most other courts," he added.

Trump has repeatedly appealed to the Supreme Court in order to block investigators from obtaining crucial documents and records that may aid their probes.

However, this month Trump was dealt a significant blow when the court ordered that hundreds of pages of personal presidential records–including diaries and phone logs– would be turned over to the January 6 House select committee.

"Reviewing documents that former President Trump sought to hide from the American people is essential to understanding the events leading up to and during the deadly insurrection and its aftermath, and to ensuring it never happens again," Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said of the decision.

Trump is rejuvinating the cult.

This is banana republic despotism stuff... That if they re-elect Trump, he makes all their fears go away.

DOJ must be listening, taking notes. He's publicly admitted his fault for the violent insurrection on 1/6.

How people can say he's not complicit is beyond me. Keep voting for the traitor though

Trump is really being hurt by racists. He is, by adoring them and slobbering on their Ds, but that is not what he thinks.

Yea but sometimes Biden stutters when he talks, so we still have to vote for Trump, because we can't be having a president who's a poor public speaker.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/some-trump-records-were-torn-up-taped-back-together-archives-says/ar-AATmHR3?li=BBnb7Kz

Washington — Some of the documents from former President Donald Trump's White House that were turned over to the National Archives and Records Administration were torn up by the former president and had been pieced back together, the agency said.

The Archives confirmed in a statement Trump's habit of tearing up records, citing press reports from 2018 that detailed his practice. The Archives said "White House records management officials during the Trump Administration recovered and taped together some of the torn-up records. These were turned over to the National Archives at the end of the Trump Administration, along with a number of torn-up records that had not been reconstructed by the White House."

Politico reported in 2018 that the former president's unofficial "filing system" consisted of him ripping up papers and throwing them on the floor or in the trash, which led to the arduous process of taping documents back together to ensure compliance with the Presidential Records Act. The law requires memos, letters, emails and other documents be preserved and given to the Archives at the end of an administration.

His supporters are unable to tell fact from, fiction, and despite the mountains of evidence the con man they worship only cares about himself, they actually think this golden toilet fancy boy is not only on their side, he is one of them.

There is one way they are alike.

It's not just his "supporters" though. People will vote for him regardless of what he does or says. Just the way it is.

Very stable genius.

Why he hasn't been charged with Seditious Conspiracy yet, is beyond me.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/quiet-part-loud-trump-says-121330147.html

On Monday, Liz Cheney, one of only two Republicans on the House committee investigating Trump’s attempt to overturn the election, said: "Trump uses language he knows caused the January 6 violence; suggests he’d pardon the January 6 defendants, some of whom have been charged with seditious conspiracy; threatens prosecutors; and admits he was attempting to overturn the election.

"He’d do it all again if given the chance.”

Chris Krebs, fired as head of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency under Trump but who pronounced the 2020 election "the most secure in US history”, said: "In the last 24 hours the former president: (1) floated pardons for [January 6] defendants, (2) encouraged civil unrest if he’s indicted in [Georgia or New York], (3) once again confirmed he pressured Pence to overturn a lawful election.

"He’s radicalizing his base to be his personal Brown Shirts.”

Olivia Troye, a former Pence aide, wrote: "Every Republican candidate and official should go on record with their answer: Do you support sedition and pardoning domestic terrorists?”
