Is it because he really looks tall and powerful, when you are on your knees before him?

I don't live far from work (most dont these days), so I probably fill up less frequently than the average person, but it's about once every two weeks, so I'll double that of consideration. Even if gas went up a full $2/gallon, I'd be about an extra $20/ week. If $20 is really gonna kill you, your financial problems are probably bigger than the price of gas.

I mean, I really couldn't care less, but that analysis is very shortsighted. The price of oil impacts just about everything. Plastics. Home heating. Air travel. And the cost of all goods due to rising transportation costs. The entire economic structure established in the 20th century is built on oil. It's not just the price at the pump.

It might not affect you or me, but when added to ALL of the other cost of living inflation going on, entry level workers, and/or those that live paycheck to paycheck are getting crushed right now. Rent, food prices, childcare cost's,fuel cost... It all adds up. I feel for them.. I understand that not everyone is in a financial state to take all of these rising cost's in stride... Have some empathy.

That's true, but I don't think most people are making that analysis when they're complaining about gas. They're just looking at the total dollar figure on the pump.

Maybe this was true in the past, but I see pretty much everyone commenting on how fuel costs are making the price of most everything go up right now.

I just don't see it ever getting better. Inflation will level off, but gas will still only become relatively more expensive in the future. People like to complain more than think of a different approach.
