For all his warts and gaffes (and he has so many) Biden still has never come close to the level of mental illness this^ MF'er displayed on a daily basis.

Typical Liar. Kevin McCarthy gets caught lying. No surprise.

Kevin McCarthy’s Trump Denial Falls Apart In Hours With Release Of New Audio

Ed Mazza
Thu, April 21, 2022, 10:40 PM

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s latest denial fell apart in record time.

McCarthy on Thursday denied a New York Times report that said he told other lawmakers he would call on then-President Donald Trump to resign in the days after the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol, which had been carried out by his supporters.

But audio released shortly afterward by the Times shows otherwise.

"The only discussion I would have with him is that I think [impeachment] will pass, and it would be my recommendation you resign,” he said in a Jan. 10, 2021, phone call with GOP leaders.

He added that he didn’t think Trump would take his advice, "but I don’t know.”

The Times report by Alexander Burns and Jonathan Martin was based on passages in their new book, "This Will Not Pass.”

In a statement earlier in the day, McCarthy called the report "totally false and wrong,” and his spokesperson told the Times that "McCarthy never said he’d call Trump to say he should resign.”

The most unbelievable part is that the horde of lunatics will continue to eat it up, despite being burned so hard the last time.

"Build a wall." Only built 80 miles of new wall where there wasn't an existing barrier and it's been completely ineffectual, falling down in a stiff breeze and migrants just cutting through it.

"Mexico will pay for it"   Meanwhile, the wall cost $46 million per mile, and Trump had to rob the DoD to pay for parts of it.

"Repeal and replace Obamacare" Huge failure.  Couldn't repeal it or replace it.  But he did write the greatest healthcare plan ever devised by man.  Unfortunately, no one was ever allowed to see it.

"Infrastructure Week!"  Fell on his face repeatedly and then Biden owned him on it.

"Jobs" Lost 3 Million jobs.

"The world will respect us again"

If he gets in again, its going to be a disaster. When he runs for a third term people will still try to convince themselves it will be better the 3rd time around when Trump is 81.

His legal entanglements will make it difficult to win.

I wish I could agree. The republican base won't care. They didn't care when he tried to have his VP killed and our entire republic overthrown, a few legal battles won't move the needle. For the undecided middle who voted for Biden last time, might just as easily say "Well he's a career criminal who will likely end the democracy our country has enjoyed these past 245 plus years, but gas and milk are super expensive so..."

He needs more than just his base to win though.

If enough moderates and leftist Dems stay home, look out.

It will be interesting to see if they can keep MTG from running for being a sedition supporting POS.

I don't think his legal entanglements will mean sheet, unless of course he's physically behind bars (though I think the likelihood of him still running if he were in prison is a near certainty too), but the problem for Trump is that he's already maxed out.  He lost by 7 million votes the first time.  It's a hard reality that makes tears stream down the face of his supporters, but those aren't negligible numbers.  He got beaten handily.

How does he make up those numbers?  With a steady stream of news about him attempting to overthrow the government?  No.  By opening his fat mouth?  Not a chance.  There's just not a lot of opportunity for him to gain that ground.  Biden's polling will likely continue the way of Obama's in the back half of his first term: creeping down but never cratering and then rising again once he's pitted against Trump due to the contrast (Obama's turned because he went into campaign mode, but Biden's will because Trump will go into campaign mode).  Of course, this assumes it even is Biden.  If it's not, all bets are off.  If it is, Trump will lose again.

Me either. Hearing her is rough, though.

It should prevent her and Trump from running...

Fourteenth Amendment, which says any American official who takes an oath to uphold the Constitution is disqualified from holding any future office if they "engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof."

Shame that 'should' and 'are' so rarely align in the political world of consequences for bad actions of elected officials.

That's what happened the first time. They got what they deserved. Will they do it again? I doubt it.

I wouldn't doubt it one bit. Americans are f***ing stupid.
