December 21, 20222 yr https://www.nytimes.com/2022/12/21/us/politics/trump-taxes-income.html The reports also showed that Mr. Trump continued to collect large sums of interest income, a total of $38.1 million during his presidency. They do not disclose the source of that income, but the tax returns previously obtained by The Times showed that through 2017 nearly all of his interest income came from his share of profits earned by a partnership that is controlled by Vornado Realty Trust. The partnership owns two valuable office towers: 1290 Sixth Avenue in Manhattan; and 555 California Street in San Francisco. Mr. Trump, who has a 30 percent share in the partnership, has no authority over its management, and it has consistently been his strongest-performing asset. 🤣

December 21, 20222 yr Trump likes to fashion himself in the billionaire class, but... The choice of pic in the FoxNews frame is ridiculous
December 22, 20222 yr Trump found out that the Capitol was under attack at 1:25 p.m. local time, the report said. He asked a White House staffer if they saw his speech earlier in the day, to which they responded that the speech was cut off due to the unfolding scene at the Capitol. When Trump asked why the speech was cut, the staffer reiterated that there were riots at the Capitol. "Oh really?" Trump asked, according to the report. "All right, let's go see." A White House photographer captured a picture of the moment Trump found out about the riots, which the report said was "the last one permitted until later in the day." "No photographs exist of the President for the remainder of the afternoon until after 4 p.m. President Trump appears to have instructed that the White House photographer was not to take any photographs," the report read. Additionally, the House select committee said it found no official records of Trump's phone calls and no information from his diary during the afternoon. ________________________ No biggie. No photos, no logs of calls, etc. Totally normal.

December 26, 20222 yr The trifecta for Trump now would be him grifting up a bunch of money as a '24 candidate, DeSantis winning, and then Trump getting pardoned in return for delivering his knuckle draggers to the voting booth to vote for DeSantis. He will no doubt double down on the violence rhetoric and claims of political foul play in an attempt to keep the DOJ off his back in the meantime.
December 27, 20222 yr The IRS commissioner who didn’t audit Trump’s taxes was also profiting from Trump properties

December 28, 20222 yr what's truly a sad about the intelligence level of this country, is that there are still people ignorant enough to listen to this clown.
December 31, 20222 yr Michael Cohen on Trump's tax returns. He goes off. Trump over values things to take bigger deductions and extends the deduction over time so he pays no taxes. Tax fraud at it's finest. Trump Org is a criminal organization after all. Trump deducted the Stormy Daniels payment. That is not an authorized IRS legitimate deductible expense. More fraud.

Remember how during the 2020 election republicans told us that he was the perfect person to close all of the loopholes in the tax code because he had so much experience exploiting them? How’d that work out?
December 31, 20222 yr This one is going to get far messier than it already has been so far. No doubt this dope and his henchmen have spent decades building a tower of sheet with all sorts of intricate layers of company ownership, transactions, etc. that make the tax implications a challenge to work with. The stuff now made public likely barely scratches the surface. Legal - It is going to take a long time to sort thru the mess and try to make sense of it. Of course, financial/legal experts will eventually sort out the key aspects of the situation and will no doubt find all sorts of half legal or blatantly illegal items to attach to. However, it is going to take quite a bit of time especially with the Trump team looking to delay/block every move. It would be far quicker to go after him for Jan 6th than tax evasion though I think the tax evasion angle is far more likely to end up with the desired result. Political - The whole thing will be far too complicated to be usable in changing anyone's mind here. Intelligent people have known forever that Trump skirts and crosses over the edge. Idiots don't understand and don't care. Nothing will change. IRS - They could be the wild card here given their ability to freeze assets/holdings, etc. They could potentially tie up Trump for years while the legal battles proceed slowly. The system tilts WAY too far in their direction generally which could be very useful in dealing with Trump. 2024 - I doubt this topic moves the needle at all.
December 31, 20222 yr He flat out broke the law. I’m tired of hearing that the law doesn’t apply to him because he’s Trump and his cult members will get all emo if he’s arrested. Being a former president and having a cult following shouldn’t absolve anyone from having to obey the law. Garland needs to sack up and do his job. Enough is enough

Trump's company was found guilty on all 17 charges in New York. Some of the evidence, Like his golf course in NJ. Where he inflated the price of 10 acres that are swamp land and then claims a loss which he carries over time is Tax fraud that they can show according to his former lawyer. The DOJ just needs to investigation his claimed deductions which equal or exceed his earned income. I believe others have looked into this. However, Justice does move slowly. This guy makes a good case for Involuntary Manslaughter charges for him as well. I wish the DOJ would charge him with this as well.

He tried to deduct the Stormy Daniels payment and deduct losses at his golf course. Trump says this is the amount I lost and that is all the evidence he has. He thinks it and then it must be true.
