That whole "We are all God's children" bit doesn't sit too well with them.

It was conservative in the 80s and 90s when I was a kid. It's even more conservative now. To the point where its almost evangelical. We love going to church in Maryland, up here not so much. It does get old hearing what an awful sinner I am, and that I need to vote for "pro life" candidates every election season.
