This isn't good for Trump, as it means Trump was acknowledging the point was to influence the election:

Apparently even trump didn’t realize that his supporters would only love him more after finding out he paid a porn star to keep quiet about his affair.

weird...he was 6'3 239 lbs just a couple years ago.

I’m honestly a bit surprised he didn’t break 300lbs but I guess he has no muscle mass on his body from never working out.

So yeah, bring on the US vs DJT.  This is just the pre-cursor. The man interfered with 2 elections and is spewing ish about the next one.  It can't happen. 3 strikes and you're out!!  Get him out.  You all know I loathe him with a passion.  Thinking back, I do wonder if this smut stuff made it out to the public if it would have turned a Trump vote to a Clinton vote.  Guess we will never know and that's criminal. That's not being a public servant.  That's self-serving and he needs to be gone.  Just go away.  I can't take much more.

Imagine how much pain this country may have avoided if Comey hadn't made that announcement. I don't know 100% whether it would have mattered but it well may have.

A few thousand votes across a few states.

By comparison Biden absolutely buried Trump.

Asked Chat GPT to make posts about Trump indictment from both conservative Trump voter and liberal Biden voter.

Conservative:

Quote

As a Trump voter, I have mixed feelings about the recent indictment of former President Donald Trump. On the one hand, I believe in holding our elected officials accountable for any wrongdoing they may have committed. On the other hand, I am concerned that this indictment is politically motivated and driven by a desire to undermine Trump and his supporters.

I believe that if Trump did indeed commit any crimes, he should face the consequences of his actions. However, I am skeptical of the motives behind this indictment, given the current political climate and the intense polarization in our country.

It is no secret that many in the media and political establishment have been targeting Trump and his supporters since he first announced his candidacy in 2015. This indictment feels like just another attempt to discredit him and tarnish his legacy, rather than a genuine effort to uphold the rule of law.

Furthermore, I am concerned about the impact this indictment will have on our democracy. Trump received over 74 million votes in the 2020 election, and many of those voters will undoubtedly see this as yet another example of the establishment trying to silence their voices and undermine their beliefs.

In conclusion, while I believe in holding our elected officials accountable for their actions, I am wary of the political motivations behind this indictment. I fear that it will only serve to deepen the divisions in our country and further erode trust in our institutions.

Liberal:

As a liberal Biden voter, I feel that the recent indictment of former President Donald Trump is long overdue. Trump's behavior during his time in office was often reckless, divisive, and at times, it even appeared to cross legal boundaries.

I believe that no one is above the law, including elected officials, and it is essential that our justice system holds those who have committed crimes accountable for their actions. If Trump has indeed committed any crimes, he should be held accountable for them, just like any other citizen.

Furthermore, I am concerned about the impact that Trump's behavior and rhetoric have had on our democracy. He has consistently undermined the institutions and norms that have upheld our democracy for centuries, and his continued lies about the 2020 election have only added fuel to the fire.

While some may argue that this indictment is politically motivated, I believe that it is essential to uphold the rule of law and protect the integrity of our democracy. We cannot allow our leaders to act with impunity, and we must ensure that they are held accountable for their actions.

In conclusion, I believe that the indictment of Donald Trump is a necessary step towards upholding the principles of democracy and justice in our country. No one is above the law, and it is essential that our justice system holds those who have committed crimes accountable for their actions.

It's all super flimsy but its still sturdier than what he tried to reverse the g'damn election on.  Also, even if the misdemeanors are all that stick, it's starting to feel like that moment in 300 when Leonidas draws blood on Xerses.  If he can be bled on something so ridiculous, he is no longer invulnerable and the other cases against him recieve a major tailwind.

Or he gets out of this and it boldens his support and he’s president again.

After thinking about it last night, the best comparable I can come up with (and sorry for this) - Bragg filing this case is akin to the holding call on Bradberry. Yes, it's technically a crime and he does have Trump dead to rights. But it's ticky-tack and shouldn't have been filed. I think Bragg's motivation is simple -- he's very likely going to get a conviction, and he will be the first one to have charged Trump (GA may get to trial faster since the courts down there aren't as busy). And Bragg will use this to...run for Mayor of NYC. It's a move by Bragg to gain political clout with a case that is a winner but just feels cheap.

Also, there's like a 90% chance Trump gets found in contempt of court for something ridiculous he does. I can't imagine his lawyers are dumb enough to put him on the stand, but he'll keep bashing Bragg and the judge to the point where a gag order is issued, and Trump will violate it in about 38 seconds.

Yup, that's a pretty solid gamble to take.  Draw him into contempt of courts, keep piling up the paper cuts.  You also have to wonder if this is all we ever get of convicted Trump.  If this is the only thing that ever lands then yeah it is worth it.
