When he makes grand declarations to prove he's on the level with his supporters, like dinner's on me or I'll meet you at the capital, and then peace-outs, stiffs them, goes home and watches TV. Dude actively hates his supporters and constantly sheets on them. It's great.
June 15, 20232 yr Reportedly, Tom Fitton convinced Trump he should defy orders to return classified docs.

Quote Former President Donald Trump's dealings with the Saudi-backed LIV Golf tour have come under Justice Department scrutiny as part of a wider inquiry into Trump's handling of classified documents, according to a new report in the New York Times. One of the subpoenas seeks documents related to Trump's connection to LIV Golf, the breakaway golf tour funded by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund. It's uncertain how LIV Golf ties into the investigation of classified document handling, but the implication is that the Justice Department is looking into a wide range of Trump's post-presidential business operations. Two Trump-owned courses, Trump National Bedminster in New Jersey and Trump National Doral in Florida, hosted LIV Golf events in the tour's inaugural season last year. Both courses are scheduled to host events this season, as is Trump National Washington, his course located just outside Washington, D.C.
June 15, 20232 yr Btw, it makes sense that the NY and Georgia cases will be put on the back burner. Federal cases take precedence over state ones. Federal crimes also involve longer sentences fwiw

No need for Trump to go to trial for something like that while much more serious charges are out there. It's kind of a shame that it puts the GA case on ice though. That one really gets to the heart of why he's such a dangerous scumbag, but then I guess there's also the federal Jan 6th case that could fall at some point.

Maybe they're being careful with the choice of wording of "investigation" instead of "case". Meaning, they might be able to continue to investigate and ultimately bring charges, but once that happens, things are put on pause?
June 15, 20232 yr It doesn’t mess up the investigation in Georgia. The trial in Georgia is another story edit: WGB beat me to it

He should by all rights be held accountable for that fiasco as well
