I had forgotten about Petreus. A military general with an impeccable reputation.

He shared secret documents with an author.

There's a nice list at the end of those sentenced for doing less than what Trump has done.

I'm dyin'!!!

Were are now about 35 days away from Trump being indicted under a RICO charge in Georgia.

Jack Smith has his star witness in Mark Meadows all ready to go in the Federal Insurrection case. Though he may let Georgia go first.

I wish he would just put a gun in his mouth and STFU for good.

Unhinged much?

I still think it's inevitable a plea deal is coming.  The interesting question will be the terms of a plea deal, and will Trump go to prison when he breaks the conditions of the plea deal.

He already pleaded not guilty. Not sure how this works for federal cases. Would his lawyers have to file a motion to withdraw that now and then go back to negotiating a deal? How likely would that be to even be granted?

At this point, Jack Smith wouldn't accept anything less than a Guilty Plea and public proffer at that. In addition, trump would have to agree never to be President again, that prevents him being exposed to further classified documents again. it would also probably be an ankle bracelet and home confinement for at least a year. Plus probation. Clearly violation of the terms would result in the suspended sentence being imposed.

Trump would never accept this. So he is at real risk for being found guilty on all 37 counts with a max sentence of 400 years in prison.

Don the Amazing, has had 7 holes in one playing golf.

Very believable, like everything that comes out of his diseased pie hole.

When it concerns this POS, yes.  Very much so.  He needs to drop out, but he won't of course.  I will accept nothing less than him NEVER being allowed to hold a public office again.

He is a complete and utter failure of a human being, let alone a public servant.  Keep worshipping him, though. His legacy will be one of the worst President's in this country's history.

So because I called you out for wishing he would kill himself, I worship him?  OK

Not believing those, either.

There is a better chance of the Arzona Cardinals winning Super Bowl 58 than Trump ever agreeing to do a plea deal. The man is completely incapable of risk analysis and appreciating the downside in any situation.

You can change your plea at any time.

His modus operandi will remain in tact, double down and try to drag things into sheetier water to attempt to strengthen his relative position

Honestly, his chances of winning the GOP nomination might increase if he is found guilty. But it won't go to trial in time for that. The August date is going to keep getting pushed.

It's just beyond ridiculous that the GOP is going to nominate the one person who will lose to Joe Biden. Any somewhat normal Republican wins this thing.

The GOP currently has issues with these people. They are called RINOs, or worse, because they are not into the kow-towing to an orange moron, and are able to deal with reality.

They lost several chances to rid the party of him and will now pay the price.  The crash & burn with chance for renewal is now 2026 or more likely 2028.  If the Dems smartly secure the middle by that point it will be game over for a decade plus.  If the Dems stupidly drift further toward their lunatic mossy fringe then 2028 will be wide open for a moderate Repub should the Repubs be able to stop the post-Trump trauma and reunite under a flag of sanity.

That's how it works around here.  If you aren't on Biden's jock you love Trump, apparently there is no in-between where you can dislike both for each being incompetent in different ways.  You must pick a side and then back them no matter how awful they are.

I'm well aware of how it works, unfortunately.  Wishing someone would commit suicide is pretty low, though.

yeah I'm pretty sure it mostly goes the other way.

if you're not all over Trump's jock you're a RINO woke radical Biden lover.

most people who voted for Biden fully acknowledge that the primary reason for the vote was him not being Trump. it has nothing to do with "loving Biden" or being on his jock.

No, you guys just don't get it. Many of us here just loathe the orange man.  That's all.  We just have a hard time understanding how anyone could lend him any sort of support because he is the absolute scum of the earth.  Sure, there's plenty of others like him on the other side, but so far, he's the winner.  I have every right to hate him and yes, wish him dead if I want.

Well, THEY would NEVER wish that on anyone. I'm sure not a single one of them said anything similar about Hillary or Obama.

Ever.

😄

Here's an example:  Remember that time he caught covid?   When they were flying him out to Walter Reed, I actually prayed for him. Then, he takes a joy ride around, and came back to the WH like he was some sort of superhero.  I found it pathetic, and he hasn't been a recipient of any prayers of mine since.
