September 14, 20232 yr "In case you have not heard this, I just got a call from Angus King, who said that he had spoken with a senior official at the Pentagon who reports that they are seeing very disturbing social media traffic regarding the protests planned on the 6th. There are calls to burn down your home, Mitch; to smuggle guns into DC, and to storm the Capitol. I hope that sufficient security plans are in place, but I am concerned that the instigator—the President—is the one who commands the reinforcements the DC and Capitol police might require." McConnell never responded.

McConnell never responded. These great GOP leaders, Trump, McConnell, are good at not responding. Trump did that all day on the 6th, waiting for hours to see what happened.

McConnell never responded. There is more. Many Senate Republicans don't like Trump either. They just took his side to win elections. Romney is the only Senate Republican with the gall and constituency to publicly criticize Trump. Quote Perhaps Romney’s most surprising discovery upon entering the Senate was that his disgust with Trump was not unique among his Republican colleagues. "Almost without exception,” he told me, "they shared my view of the president.” In public, of course, they played their parts as Trump loyalists, often contorting themselves rhetorically to defend the president’s most indefensible behavior. But in private, they ridiculed his ignorance, rolled their eyes at his antics, and made incisive observations about his warped, toddlerlike psyche. Romney recalled one senior Republican senator frankly admitting, "He has none of the qualities you would want in a president, and all of the qualities you wouldn’t.” This dissonance soon wore on Romney’s patience. Every time he publicly criticized Trump, it seemed, some Republican senator would smarmily sidle up to him in private and express solidarity. "I sure wish I could do what you do,” they’d say, or "Gosh, I wish I had the constituency you have,” and then they’d look at him expectantly, as if waiting for Romney to convey profound gratitude. This happened so often that he started keeping a tally; at one point, he told his staff that he’d had more than a dozen similar exchanges. They all knew better. Yet they all allowed J6 to happen. And they continue to feign support for Trump to fecklessly keep their jobs. They will fall with the ship.

September 14, 20232 yr I look forward to reading Romney's book. After all it does reinforce what we learned from the Fox News Defamation case. Even tucker carlson, privately can't stand Trump. They are all just a bunch of cowards who can't stand up to him and have to kiss his ring instead. Money and power is what it's all about for the Maga Party.
September 14, 20232 yr That scream you hear is his lawyer. This is bananas. He's just admitting to crimes.
September 14, 20232 yr Quote TAG Air, Inc. The company is one of a number of Trump entities associated with the former president's Boeing 757-200. In an April filing with the Office of Government Ethics, Trump claimed that the TAG Air had a value of $1,001 or less. Then, in a revised July filing, Trump valued TAG Air at between $5 million and $25 million. In the mere three months that elapsed between the two disclosures, Trump's estimate of TAG Air's value jumped by a factor of 5,000 or more. It's unclear what prompted Trump's accountants to make such a drastic change. Steven Cheung, a spokesperson for Trump's campaign, did not respond to a request for comment. During the 2016 campaign, taxpayers reportedly paid TAG Air $1.6 million to cover the cost of transporting the Secret Service agents charged with protecting him. A person who has dealt with Trump in the past told Insider that the changing valuation could be driven by worries that James's New York case could use the old forms, with the lower figures, as evidence in her case. "Trump has always played fast and loose with numbers," they said. "Now that sloppiness is coming to an end. All of a sudden, because of litigation and discovery, he has to provide accurate information." Corrupt POS doesn't really seem strong enough a term for this grifting flat worm.

September 15, 20232 yr if Trump wins, you can guarantee he will Pardon himself for State Crimes. People tell me its legal, As President I have the right to Pardon myself for any crimes, they claim the Constituion doesn't provide for that, but as President I get to do whatever I want.
