Actually, the lawsuit in NY was filed by Leticia James more than two months before Trump declared himself a candidate.

I wish reporters would call him on his BS, right on the spot.

It isn't fair that my lawyers didn't ask for a jury.

Keep it up, dumb ass.

CNN —

John Kelly, the longest-serving White House chief of staff for Donald Trump, offered his harshest criticism yet of the former president in an exclusive statement to CNN.

Kelly set the record straight with on-the-record confirmation of a number of damning stories about statements Trump made behind closed doors attacking US service members and veterans, listing a number of objectionable comments Kelly witnessed Trump make firsthand.

"What can I add that has not already been said?” Kelly said, when asked if he wanted to weigh in on his former boss in light of recent comments made by other former Trump officials. "A person that thinks those who defend their country in uniform, or are shot down or seriously wounded in combat, or spend years being tortured as POWs are all ‘suckers’ because ‘there is nothing in it for them.’ A person that did not want to be seen in the presence of military amputees because ‘it doesn’t look good for me.’ A person who demonstrated open contempt for a Gold Star family – for all Gold Star families – on TV during the 2016 campaign, and rants that our most precious heroes who gave their lives in America’s defense are ‘losers’ and wouldn’t visit their graves in France.

"A person who is not truthful regarding his position on the protection of unborn life, on women, on minorities, on evangelical Christians, on Jews, on working men and women,” Kelly continued. "A person that has no idea what America stands for and has no idea what America is all about. A person who cavalierly suggests that a selfless warrior who has served his country for 40 years in peacetime and war should lose his life for treason – in expectation that someone will take action. A person who admires autocrats and murderous dictators. A person that has nothing but contempt for our democratic institutions, our Constitution, and the rule of law.

"There is nothing more that can be said,” Kelly concluded. "God help us.”

He will probably appeal claiming in-effective assistance of Counsel for not getting a Jury Trial. He's that desperate.

That all this turns out to be true should shock absolutely no one

Of course it's all true. Will he still get 80 ,million votes? Yep.

Call me crazy, but I don’t think Trump will be the Republican nominee.  Two reasons:

1.  I think the DC and Georgia cases wrap up by the August 2024 Republican convention, and Trump will be staring at prison sentences

2.  I think Trump’s advisers will somehow convince him the only path to beating these legal cases will be via Presidential Pardon (not Georgia, of course) and he can’t pardon himself.  He will throw his endorsement to an electable candidate in exchange for a ‘get out of jail’ agreement.  I suspect Haley.

My hope is Democrats win in 2024 and Trump dies in prison.  I don’t ask for much.

1) Even in the unlikely event they do conclude by then, he'd already been the nominee and on ballots, but further, a conviction doesn't bar him from running. It would almost certainly be challenged but ultimately the SCOTUS would likely rule in his favor.

2) He has too much pride (and too few brain cells) for this. He is going down with the ship.

You just applied logic, rational thought, risk assessment and basic intelligence to Donald J Trump.

Don’t do that.

Trump Just Threw A Middle-Of-The-Night Tantrum Over Late Shows Mocking Him

https://www.huffpost.com/entry/donald-trump-late-night-attack_n_651bbb6de4b094f8402183f8

The former president is ticked that the late-night hosts are back and already making fun of him.

The late-night shows returned to television on Monday for the first time in five months, and it seems at least one former president was watching.

"Now that the ‘strike’ is over, the talentless, low rated CREEPS of Late Night Television are back,” Donald Trump ranted on his Truth Social website. "I knew there was a reason I didn’t want to see it settled - True LOSERS!!!”

In another post, he called them "poorly rated and not at all funny” and claimed the shows were a "major” campaign contribution to Democrats.

"Watch what is going on,” he wrote. "So interesting!”

Stephen Colbert, Jimmy Kimmel and Seth Meyers were all back on the air on Monday after the resolution of the five-month-long writers strike, and all were heavy with jokes about Trump. Jimmy Fallon also returned to TV, although Trump was a much smaller part of his monologue.

John Oliver returned on Sunday night, while "The Daily Show” will resume next week.

Trump has long had a problem with the late-night shows for mocking him and has attacked Kimmel, Colbert, Jon Stewart, "Saturday Night Live,” and Alec Baldwin, among others.

Earlier this year, Rolling Stone reported that Trump White House officials made at least two phone calls in 2018 to a top Disney executive demanding that the network take action against Kimmel over his Trump jokes.

After the report, Kimmel blasted Trump as a "fragile little snowflake” who can’t handle a little humor.

In addition, The Daily Beast reported in 2021 that Trump asked the Justice Department to investigate late-night comics who made fun of him. He was so obsessed, the website reported, that he asked his advisors if the Federal Communications Commission or courts could stop the jokes.

Arizona prosecutors are investigating Donald Trump's efforts to overturn his 2020 election loss that may have continued into last year.

Investigators are looking into a 2022 pressure campaign by Trump allies aimed at decertifying the state's electors and are examining how deeply the ex-president and his senior advisers were involved in a 2021 election audit, according to two sources familiar with the matter who spoke to Rolling Stone.

State attorney general Kris Mayes' office opened an investigation in May into an effort by Arizona Republicans to send a slate of phony electors to cast electoral ballots for Trump, similar to schemes in several other swing states won by Joe Biden, but investigators have recently taken an interest in activity that took place well after Inauguration Day 2021.

Officials have interviewed individuals with close knowledge of internal discussions among Trump allies, sources told the magazine, and have reviewed documents that circulated among his inner circle and local allies related to those schemes.

Trump's senior adviser Boris Epshteyn called state House speaker Rusty Bowers in February 2022 asking him to support legislation drawn up by far-right former state Rep. Mark Finchem to decertify Arizona's 2020 electors, according to a report earlier this year by the Arizona Republic, that even Finchem agreed was likely unlawful.

“[T]here is no process under current law for the Arizona Legislature to ‘decertify’ an election,” he wrote in a press release introducing the measure.

Two sources say that investigators are also probing the involvement of Trump and his top aides in an audit by the private firm Cyber Ninjas, which got a million-dollar donation from Trump's Save America PAC to explore conspiracy theories involving ballots in Maricopa County.

His calculation, which btw I consider 100% correct, is to win in the face of all this and once he's on the throne for another 4 years he will be untouchable.  He will pardon himself and it will be the least horrible thing he does.
