In what court has that charge been successfully prosecuted? Also happens to be why Colorado's attempt at the 14th will get shot down.

Same reason Biden isn't in a jail cell despite the aliased email accounts and his constantly fact checked statements.

"The will of the people" ?

That's a laughable Fing statement. Have you even bothered to follow what's been passed as law lately?

😂😂😂

OMFG!!!😂 It’s the emails again!!! 😂😂😂

Who’s got them this time? Trump himself? Tucker have the laptop?

Are the emails at a landscaping shop or a pizza place?

You’re mentally ill. Seriously. Get help.

So where I live, there is a Gym. There is a guy there who likes to ride the sit down exercise bike and turn the TV on to Fox News and pump up the volume. People who come and go are subjected to it while they enter and exit. Yesterday, I got to the gym before him and put on music. He comes in asks me are you listening to this. I said yeah, and he left. I plan on doing this every day to block him. Politics and exercise what a great combo. If he want to listen he should do so at home. It's clear he does it intentionally to throw it in people's faces. I plan on blocking him again next week too.

RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel was also involved in the call, the Detroit News reported.

"If you can go home tonight, do not sign it. ... We will get you attorneys,” McDaniel reportedly told the two canvassers.

The Republican Party is so corrupt they can't grasp the simple concept of democracy that the candidate is the LAST person who should ever be involved with the counting and auditing of cast ballots.

Cool story, bro. How many Republican judges does the Supreme Court have? Asking for a friend.

You should tell your friend too many. 6.

Yes, just priming the pump for if/when they validate the decision so that Cleetus over here can't claim it was those rascally democrats ruling with an iron fist again.

I like the whole thing intact.

I do not control the choices, except that I am one of the fools voting third party in hopes that one day it will matter.

True, we have very little control of the choices but I can not and will not vote for either if it is the 2 dopes currently leading each party.  It's really just sad that this is the best either party has to offer.

Adam Kinzinger, a former Republican representative, encouraged people to ‘wear a mask’ when they’re in the presence of former president Donald Trump due to his apparent odor. Mr Kinzinger, a vocal critic of Mr Trump, took to his Twitter account this week to insinuate that the former president possesses a strong smell. "I’m genuinely surprised how people close to Trump haven’t talked about the odor,” Mr Kinzinger wrote earlier this week. "It’s truly something to behold. Wear a mask if you can,” he added.

Supreme Court refuses to make decision on Trump immunity.  What a joke.

Sad thing is it is going to be a rematch of, now, the 2 worst presidents in history.  I'd say may the best man win but there really isn't a best so it becomes may the 2nd worst man win.

I can't imagine how any "conservative" in his right mind would think Biden was worse than LBJ.

The Supreme Court on Friday said it will not fast-track consideration of Donald Trump’s claim that he has immunity from prosecution for actions he took as president, a question crucial to whether he can be put on trial for plotting to overturn the results of the 2020 election.

The court’s one-sentence order, from which there were no noted dissents, means a federal appeals court in Washington will be the first to review a district judge’s ruling earlier this month rejecting Trump’s claim of immunity. Arguments are scheduled for Jan. 9. The timing of a decision — and a likely appeal to the Supreme Court after that — could delay Trump’s criminal trial in Washington, D.C., now scheduled to begin March 4.

Biden’s issue isn’t that he is instrumental in creating government spending like LBJ was. The inflation reduction act was pretty squarely center-leftism.

Biden’s issue is that he’s generally incompetent and his foreign policy isn’t the best.

Not going to disagree that Biden’s foreign policy isn’t the best, but it’s better than pulling out of NATO.

Please list the specific things he's been incompetent on that would lead one to conclude he's one of the 2 worst presidents in US history. This I gotta hear...

Actually, I don’t have a big problem with this.  The normal process is for it to go through the appeals court and then get appealed up to the Supreme Court.  They acted expeditiously as Smith asked, and at the same time the appeals court is moving fast as well.  Oral arguments are January 9th and they’ll likely rule the week after.  I think SCOTUS can rule by early February.

The Supreme Court is extremely unlikely to grant immunity but this way the Trumpers can’t gripe they didn’t get "due process”.  I think this will delay Chutkin by about a month, but the trial should begin early April and finish during the summer.

Thinking about the 14th Amendment appeal that Trump says he’ll launch and that one is more worrisome — but I have the feeling right now SCOTUS will rule the final decision on candidate eligibility under the Amendment will rest with the individual states.  I don’t think they’ll rule he is ineligible across all states, and I don’t think they’ll strike down the Colorado ruling, because there’s no legal or constitutional basis to do so.  Elections are administered by the individual states, and I think SCOTUS will so rule.

Yep, just like they did with Dobbs
