There's zero basis for that. Most appellate bonds are cash collateralized. Of course Chubb will post a bond secured by cash and make free money.

Everyone has the right to appeal.

I don't know, they have to protect shareholders based on a fiduciary duty of care, loyalty and good faith. Seems to me it would be a lack of care to lend to a criminal defendant who was found liable for sexual assault and has other outstanding verdicts to pay. It also seems to me it would be bad faith to lend to a guy who has a long history of failing to pay his creditors. Just sayin.

They didn't lend him money. Appellate bonds are cash collateralized ~99% of the time. Very rarely they will take less liquid collateral, but then it needs to be MASSIVELY overcollateralized.

Management owes shareholders a fiduciary duty to maximize profits/value. That's what they are doing. Claiming the reputational damage will negatively impact value (and offset the free profit) is basically impossible to prove.

You're just wrong here. Any lawsuit would be laughed out of court.

Well, he's well on his way to ANOTHER defamation lawsuit cause he can't keep his mouth shut.  First was 5 mil, next 90 mil, bets on next one? Guessing 180 million.  I'm sure this will help his appeal case...

Legal expert says Trump 'certainly' just welcomed a new defamation suit at Georgia rally

The number of dimensions to this level of chess is not perceptible to us mere mortals.

Not yet but soon. Especially, after the criminal defendant loses his appeal.

I'm sure his actions this weekend doing it all again is going to do wonders for his appeal

C'mon dude.  All you have to do is look at what Trump did during the day.  That tells you where he was on the whole thing.

you're not a lawyer if you buy that video. it's one line from Cheney out of context.

do you want to see the context? I'm sure you don't, but I'll go ahead and embarrass your stupid ass again.

HUNT: CNN is reporting that the Pentagon texts from January 6th are missing. This is, of course, after the Department of Homeland Security and the Secret Service seem to have lost texts.

Do you think there was malicious intent behind the Pentagon's deletion of texts related to that day?

CHENEY: I don't know that that's the case. I haven't seen evidence of malicious intent. I do think, though, that it's concerning that you have text messages, apparently, and this is based on the news reporting, but text messages apparently of some of the senior officials, people like Kash Patel, apparently not available.

she was not talking about whether Kash Patel was made available. she said that his text messages on Jan 6 somehow were "lost".

that video is again a bunch of tripe you eagerly swallow because it soothes your feelings. you, like the rest of your ilk who defend Trump on J6, are completely and utterly full of crap and traitors to the nation you claim to "love".
