To be fair, Trump has never personally declared bankruptcy. His casino business went bankrupt multiple times (4 if I remember correctly), but he personally avoided bankruptcy in the early 1990s as banks thought him filing for Chapter 11 would be worse for them than putting him on an out of court plan.

Speaking as someone who worked at a casino, I have no idea how in the F you let a casino go bankrupt. It literally sells an addiction.  Slot machines are the closest thing to having a license to print money. I can’t fathom how inept at business one would have to be to go bankrupt running one, let alone multiple times.

Granted, AC is having issues now because of the legalization of gambling in surrounding states, but not then.

He massively over leveraged the casinos - the Taj would have needed to be the most profitable casino in the world just to cover the interest payments.

Pro-Trump attorney arrested after court hearing about leaked Dominion emails

A pro-Trump lawyer who tried to overturn the 2020 election was arrested Monday after a court hearing about her recent leak of internal emails belonging to Dominion Voting Systems.

There was an existing arrest warrant for the attorney, Stefanie Lambert, stemming from her failure to appear at recent court hearings in her separate criminal case in Michigan, where she was charged with conspiring to seize voting machines after the 2020 election.

The controversy erupted when Lambert provided the confidential Dominion documents to Barry County Sheriff Dar Leaf, who has embraced conspiracy theories about the 2020 election and has used his office to hunt for supposed voter fraud against Donald Trump. In the last 24 hours, Leaf has posted more than 2,000 internal Dominion documents on his social media account.

Lambert had access to the Dominion files because she represents former Overstock CEO Patrick Byrne, who is being sued for defamation by the voting company over his 2020 election lies. As part of the case, they have access to "discovery” from Dominion, whose lawyers said they have already turned over more than a million documents.

Dominion’s lawyers also said in filings that company employees are already receiving new death threats in the wake of the disclosures. The messages posted online by Leaf contain names, email addresses, cell phone numbers and office addresses of Dominion employees.

Michael Cohen says possibility of Trump receiving foreign money to pay bills is ‘no joke’

Michael Cohen warned Monday that former President Trump could try to elicit money from foreign nations to pay for his mounting bills after his former boss’s lawyers said it was "impossible” for them to secure the full bond due in his New York fraud case.

"As Americans, we should be very concerned where that money is coming from,” said Cohen, who was an attorney for Trump before their falling out. Cohen made the remarks during a Monday interview with MSNBC’s "Deadline: White House.”

"First and foremost, if it’s coming from a company like Chubb or Federated [Insurance], yes we know that company, it’s an American company and so on. But what if hypothetically, the money is coming from Saudi Arabia, from Qatar?

"What if by chance, it’s coming through a backdoor channel of Russia? That now leaves a potential presidential candidate … basically owing a foreign entity. All at the expense of America’s security? This is no joke,” he continued.

Earlier Monday, Trump’s legal team indicated in court filings it will be "impossible” for them to secure the $454 million bond due in his New York fraud case.

His attorneys told the state’s intermediate appeals court they spent "countless hours” in negotiations with "one of the largest insurance companies in the world,” and approached 30 companies to back the bond.

A New York judge ordered Trump to pay nearly $355 million — plus interest — in penalties after concluding he conspired to lie about his net worth to receive tax and insurance benefits. The total judgement climbs nearly $112,000 in interest each day he doesn’t pay, and it now amounts to more than $454 million.

Cohen argued Trump’s situation could put national security at risk if he is elected to a new term as president.

"This places our national security in jeopardy and continues to make Donald Trump the single most … dangerous thing in America to our national security and democracy,” he said. "He doesn’t care where the money comes from as long as he gets it.”

Can we bring a suit against him for wasting courts time? Before he can bring another suit, he should have to pay the 500 million he already owes.  This will be open and shut case, the judge already ruled:

"The finding that Ms. Carroll failed to prove that she was ‘raped’ within the meaning of the New York Penal Law does not mean that she failed to prove that Mr. Trump ‘raped’ her as many people commonly understand the word ‘rape,’ ” Kaplan wrote.

He added: "Indeed, as the evidence at trial recounted below makes clear, the jury found that Mr. Trump in fact did exactly that.

Trump’s ree’ing about his own sheety trade agreement.

Trump over values his assets again in the Appeal of his Massive Judgement in the fraud case. The fraudster can't stop engaging in fraud.

There was a poll posted earlier someplace.  It's going to be a complete disaster of an election for (3) simple reasons:

1-No one listened to Lindsey Graham in 2015 when he said "if we nominate Trump, we will get destroyed and we will deserve it"  He was right, but look at him now. POS

2-Trump is and always will be unable to accept defeat.  It's a sickness called narcissism. Jan 6 would have never happened if he just conceded the election. He was told before that there was no evidence of fraud.  He still can't accept it. He is mentally ill and not competent to serve.

3-After Jan 6-the republican party SHOULD have kicked him aside and chosen another more viable nominee. Stupid, stupid party, let one man bring an already faltering party to its knees. So now we're stuck with far right horse ish.  With a LIAR at the head of it.

How republicans are not just disgusted and disgraced, I will never know.

Here’s my conclusion to this point.

If trump is unable to get Elon Musk, Putin or some Saudi to pay his bond, and the NY AG begins seizing assets, he’s going to use it to grow his story of being the victim of political persecution. That seed has already been planted. Anyone with 2 brain cells available to generate an internal thought has already seen through trump as a fraud. The brainwashed Rhee tards who still support him aren’t going to suddenly develop brain activity. So none of this going to move the needle for the November election.

Trump needs to be held accountable for the first time in his life… to the fullest extent of the law. This needs to happen as an example to other frauds who are playing politician, now or in the future. This needs to happen to wreck one of the major parties, so our politicians learn the dangers of complete control given to one person. We all need to see how undesirable a two party system is when one party falls apart and too much control is going to be given one party… we need more viable parties. Makes me want to look at rank choice voting as an option again.

I don't disagree with you, it's just sad that these are the 2 best nominees that we could put forward.  Either party could put up just about anyone else and win and somehow both of these candidates think they are the only one that can beat the other.

2028

Dems: Newsome or Shapiro.

Trumplicans: DeSantis or Abbott.

Take your pick.

Biden's the incumbent, so there's really no need for him to step down once it was clear Trump was going to be his opponent. He already beat Trump once so it fell on the GOP primary voters to vote for a different candidate to avoid a 2020 rematch. But even if the DNC did decide to take a massive risk and asked Biden to step down, I'm sure "independents" like yourself would all be lining up to vote for Gavin Newsome of Dean Philips in November should they have secured the nomination instead.

Hillary Clinton couldn't defeat Donald Trump in the 2016 general election, so Democrats in 2020 chose the lowest common denominator with Biden: old, white, heterosexual man that isn't a socialist like Bernie Sanders. I don't know what Republicans are thinking by supporting Trump again in 2024.

Nobody knows, since only a complete moron would vote for Trump. If they can believe in election lies, and January 6th hostages, they will vote for the guy robbing them blind.

Morons.
