June 14, 20241 yr Did Donald Trump Jr just break the law during his meeting with Hungarian leader Viktor Orban? Donald Trump Jr, four months after being hit with a $4 million fine and a ban on serving as an officer of a New York company for two years, is seeking opportunities elsewhere — namely, Hungary. The former president’s eldest child arrived in Budapest on Thursday morning on an invitation from the Budapest Chamber of Commerce and Industry. There, he met with Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and gave a talk entitled "The World According to Donald Trump Jr.,” an event first reported by Hungarian journalist Szabolcs Panyi. Trump Jr’s visit focused on discussions about "the future of Hungarian-American relations, the ongoing Russian-Ukrainian war, and opportunities for peace creation,” according to Zoltan Kovacs, spokesperson for Orbán’s office. Multiple legal experts say foreign policy discussions between Trump Jr — who is not employed by the US government — and a foreign prime minister raise questions about the Logan Act, which prohibits unauthorized diplomatic activity in certain circumstances https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/donald-trump-jr-orban-logan-act-b2561992.html?utm_source=reddit.com
June 14, 20241 yr Holy sheet. This idea would have to come with massive cuts to the federal budget and would make Trump, by a wide margin, the most libertarian president of all time. Remarkable.

I think this shows that Jr is a serious veep contender. 2. It's a clear violation of the Logan act.

I had no doubt that Trump getting rid of income tax would ruffle some feathers in here. "No daddy government, tax me harder! I want to fund gender studies in Saudi Arabia!"

I'm not theoretically against the idea, I just find it beyond the pale of absurd and stupid of you to think Trump of all people could get something like that actually done. How you can work yourself up over every brain fart that comes from that windbag moron's hot air motor mouth is beyond comprehension.

Quote The Fair Tax calls for abolishing all federal taxes and replacing them with a 23 percent nationwide sales tax that applies only to new goods and services. For example a used car or secondhand clothes would be exempt, while groceries would not. In addition to a simplified tax, everyone would receive something called a monthly prebate check. More on that here. https://reason.com/2012/08/22/fair-tax-gives-gary-johnson-some-hiccups/

Gary Johnson who everyone made fun of for being a pothead, fleshed this idea out far more than Trump ever would.

Yeah, libtard tears aside, I think the idea of eliminating income tax is probably the best one floated by a presidential candidate ever. The choice was obviously always ridiculously easy, but this just takes it to a whole new level. Yeah, let me vote for the guy who will unapologetically raise my taxes to pay for infinity illegals, unlimited welfare, special interest handouts, maybe a forever war or two, or should I vote for the guy who will try to drastically slash the federal government and eliminate income tax? Very tough choice.
