June 21, 20241 yr I get a good laugh whenever I hear people complain "the left never gave Trump a chance." I can remember in early 2017 it took many months for any media person to acknowledge Trump was a compulsive liar. Every time he said something ridiculous, the media would act as though they were confused about why Trump would say something -- then the opposite was shown to be true. IIRC it was at least 4-5 months before the media would associate "liar" and "Trump" out loud.

True to MAGA form, a lot of the harassment he's received has been horrifyingly boob. Trumpers have called him the N-word, "gorilla," and "primate." Bragg also received a package containing a photo of him, a noose, and the caption: "I am past the point of just wanting them in prison." Since the start of April, the New York police department has logged a staggering 55 "actionable threats" against Bragg, his staff, and his family. By keeping parts of the gag order in place — which bars Trump from attacking the witnesses, court staff, jurors, and family of Judge Juan Merchan — Bragg is hoping to prevent Trump from escalating the harassment and working his followers into even more of a lather. In their court filing, Bragg's prosecutors argued that the gag order is necessary given Trump's "singular history of inflammatory and threatening public statements" and his supporters' dedicated efforts to "identify jurors and threaten violence against him." "Since the verdict in this case, defendant has not exempted the jurors from his alarming rhetoric that he would have ‘every right’ to seek retribution as president against the participants in this trial as a consequence of his conviction because ’sometimes revenge can be justified," the filing states.

Eagles last 7-8 years have been as good as any other time save for maybe Andy's 10yr run. Phillies have been good lately. Sixers not as good as the DrJ led teams but still pretty good. Flyers are the only team that has really been worse over the last chunk of years vs. decades back. Don't see much change overall to be honest.
