My post wasn’t a stab at Carson. Never mentioned him.

I don't hate Carson, I'm amused that Jalen's #1 and Carson is #2.

Carson casts a long shadow and everything that Jalen does is going to be compared to everything that Carson does / did.  Likely this will last for at least a few years.  Hopefully Jalen becomes a break out star and everyone forgets about Carson.

...really?

what long shadow is Carson casting? We got rid of him because he was broken goods. A little bit physically, a lot a bit mentally, and has been declining at an alarming rate since 2018.

We spent 3 1’s on him and sold him for a 2 and a 3. Jalen will likely be worth more than that by the end of the season, as long as he stays healthy.

The best kingdom to rule is one where the previous king failed in his duty. Because everyone will be relieved when you ascend.

There's a shadow because he was a star.  He was the #2 overall pick and might have been the MVP in the year he tore up his knee.

Like it or not, Jalen and Carson will be compared for at least the next season.

While the narrator's voice was a bit robotic at times, it was a good refresher on the history of Jalen at the NCAA level.  Guy was the consummate teammate and leader.  Can't wait to see what he can do as the #1 guy heading into the season with a new staff.

Carson led the league in interceptions AND sacks AND fumbles.

The comparison won’t be difficult for Hurts to overcome. No one is expecting 2017 Carson, and Indy shouldn’t even be expecting 2017 Carson

I have close to no faith, but hopefully he's the best QB to ever play the game.

He has the athleticism, the work ethic, the leadership skills, and the head for the game. His issues are fumbling, and accuracy. Both of those are coachable, the other aren’t.
