Being a high draft pick, JJAW has some leeway.  Grimes may challenge that position.  With the new coaching staff, they probably pay less consideration of the past.  They see something promising in Grimes or some other prospects, and JJAW does not show enough, he will be gone.

Simple question, simple answer.   No.

Sorry, super bored, waiting for the draft. Was thinking how cool it would have been to have either Chase or Pitts to choose from to get Hurts an O weapon. Then started thinking about our WRs, and how if they had a little more time, they would get open and with Hurts ability to scramble that may happen. Then thought about JJAW, where would he fit in this O. TE came to mind.

He's not tall enough, not stout enough, not sure why you think he'd be a good TE whose primary job is to block.

Not anymore.  New regime in town.  And this HC is supposed to be a QB whisperer - so either JJAW performs on the field or he's gone.

JJAW is not a TE and never will be.

2021 will be his best chance to either find some playing time, or to be cut. With a new offense and new coaching staff (same WR coach though), there will be no expectations or free passes. He's currently under contract and the new HC has a list of things he wants to see from his WRs. If JJAW shows Siriani he can do what Siriani expects his WRs to do, he'll make the team as a WR. While JJAW's rookie year was disappointing, he had a chance to learn and play all the WR positions which may actually give him an edge over Hightower and Grimes if it comes down to the last WR spot.

I've said it before and I'll say it again --- JJAW needs to contribute on ST if he sticks around as a backup.
