ROUND 6 (#189): Eagles select Marlon Tuipulotu (USC DT)

Another name for TATE to misspell.

Also traded a 6th (#225) and a 7th (#240) to WAS for their 5th next year.

Who? Another DT? I mean it's a sixth round pick so ok.

PFF had Marlon rated higher than his teammate Jay who went in the 4th, great job Howie.

PFF's #118 overall player.

Can any of these DTs cover?

I guess Howie's plan is to sign a few CB after the draft and when teams release players. Uggh.

So I guess Lamb and Gallup just run free this year?

Steven Nelson is still available. Still is Conley.

Nobody we could have gotten in the 6th.

I mean our defensive philosophy looks like it's gonna be "pray we get to the QB or uh oh".

Corner is the new LB to roseman apparently.....who needs them?

If only!  We lost that superstar to the Raiders didn't you know?

New defensive scheme:  8 DL - 1 LB - 2 CB

2 CB? Who? 😉

He has brothers and cousins in college and NFL football.

Maybe that was a theme this year, since Howie just changes what he wants every year.  Last year was speed, this year was athletic guys with family members who are also athletes.

Does it matter when you're in a multi-year rebuild?

It does as after next year Slay will be over 30 or gone. So getting a young CB to start grooming as your CB1/2 for the next five-seven years would be the wise move in a multi-year rebuild. Having someone like Slay to learn from this year would have been ideal for young CBs.

Good player...but do we need a #5/6 DT?

So he is over 30. Doesn't mean he will no longer be good for a star like him.

He won't be 5/6 DT for long, this draft is all about long term talent accumulation.
