I think it's safe to say Sherman has some other things to take care of first, in light of recent events. 

Even if the recent mental breakdown/arrest episode didn't occur, the Eagles wouldn't be very high on Sherman's list of preferred teams. At this point he'd try to latch onto a contender for a shot at another Super Bowl.
