I can’t imagine for example that we need to panic about somebody poaching our 5th corner or safety. Or Opeta. Have him on the 53 and then IR him and add one of those guys. Gives us options later in the year.

Gives us options later in the year. Really all depends on what they intend to do with Ertz. If they plan to keep him the full season, then it doesn’t make sense to try to bring back Jackson … they can roll with Ertz, Goedert, and Rodgers. Next season they’ll likely have a need for a TE2 since both Ertz and Rodgers will likely be gone.

And you probably want him to practice during the year once he's healthy? I say waive Rodgers then IR Jackson as soon as you can. Rodgers will still be available. And if not Rodgers then go with another guy like McGill or someone who likely makes the roster but also likely won't be claimed.
