He made the spectacle of himself. The reason teams didn't want to touch him is because fans didn't like him. On top of that, he peaked early and began regressing each time he kissed his biceps. He wasn't worth what he wanted to be paid and fans threatened boycotts at their favorite teams when any interest was advertised.

At one time, Vick was the most hated person in sports. The only reason his NFL revival worked was because the Eagles didn't "need" him to be the guy when they signed him (for a low amount) and he actually changed as a person while he was out of the NFL and returned with humility. He worked hard to get better as a player and did everything Lurie, the NFL, and his legal conditions required him to do.  Kap hasn't done anything to win over the fans that hate him. He was handed a $100 million settlement from the NFL for nothing and given the stupid workout opportunity which he chose to sabotage. I think even he knew his career as a starting NFL QB was nearing its end the first day he wore his pig-cop socks to practice.

To further your point, back up QB has to support the starter.  His personality has to fit the QB room.  There's a reason some guys last 15 years as a back up and make huge sums of money over that time, even though they rarely play.  KK didn't want any part of that role.  Ray Lewis went to bat for him with the owner and they were ready to sign him when KK's GF called Ray the house N+++++.  KK did not want the job.  As mentioned the Broncos also wanted him earlier as their starter but wanted him to take a pay cut from the 12-15 or so that he was making to about half that.  KK refused.  And he opted out of his last year with the 49ers on his own.  Dude didn't want to play.  He wanted to be a false symbol of oppression.  An important point here...KK was raised by a white family.  He never felt "authentically black"  in his mind.  This was done so he would be accepted by all.  In his mind.  That's the driving force in his kneeling movement and desire to play the role of the victim.  If he had seen a good therapist early in his career he would have make another 50-100 mil in the NFL and had a long career.

T.Y. McGill make it? Hope so

Sounds like we are practicing today. One last look at the roster before cuts

I do that too in Madden before the cuts. It’s smart because the players get the XP. Genius move by Sirianni.

If I had to choose between McGill and Ridgeway (guessing those would be the next 2 on the DC after Cox and Hargrave ... depending on where they slot Williams, DE or DT), I'd go with McGill.

As James and Jacquet are both gone, I presume Scott makes it at the 5th corner. That's definitely the main area we should be looking at picking someone up. Could definitely use a backup outside corner.

Ridgeway seemed to be better in the past - not sure why he regressed.

You didn’t even know the league scheduled a private workout. Please stop typing.

Im not allowing another lie to become reality. Everything I said was accurate.

That "workout" was a sham, put on by the league with austere conditions and no media to record what actually happened. When Atlanta TV stations and newspapers showed up at the Falcons facility they were turned away by the NFL.  So was the video team Kaepernick's people hired. It was all nonsense and it backfired on the NFL.

He seems to be injured quite a bit too.  One reason why if I were choosing I'd go McGill.

Updated cut list per Tim Pelissero (NFL Network) - adding Jason Huntley

  • DE Matt Leo
  • DT Raequan Williams
  • CB Craig James
  • WR Andre Patton
  • CB Michael Jacquet
  • OL Ross Pierschbacher
  • RB Elijah Holyfield
  • WR Marken Michel
  • TE Cary Angeline
  • DE JaQuan Bailey
  • LB Rashad Smith
  • RB  Jason Huntley

So Jordan Howard makes the team.

Thanks, I'll add that info to the first post.  🙂

Any decent WRs get cut from other teams that we could pick up? It's insane that JJAW is going to make this roster because Hightower and Fulgham did nothing to make a better case.

What's sad is that it's almost a coin-flip between JJAW and Fulgham.  Fulgham was so very good for that short stretch last year.  Seems like the problem is with his head rather than with his talent or his technique.  Technique can be taught, but how do you fix his head?  And if his head/attitude is bad, do you really want him on your team?

Right, nothing to do with football, aka, play on the field.

Regressed each time hhe kissed is biceps is just too funny.......and a QB peaking early isn't funny but it is silly because everyone knows it does not happen.

Adding to the list of those waived (thanks @Hawkeye  )

RB  Jason Huntley

I would have kept Huntley and used him as the returner on KO's and PR's because Reagor is horrible at it.

Personnel decisions make a break coaches, all too often you have coaches that think it's their coaching.

He's injured - ribs.  Sounds like they'll try to bring him back on the practice squad.  Remember, they had to clear two additional spots on the 53 to activate McLeod and Dickerson by 4pm today, even if they're not ready.

I think Huntley is a better option than Gainwell because he's more of a homerun hitter, if you view Gainwell's college highlights he's often caught from behind.

What an absolute crock of ish.  Gainwell ran a 4.42.

Meanwhile, here is the weaknesses form Huntley's draft profile.

Weaknesses
  • Angular build with narrow base not suited for inside running
  • Lacks leg drive to break tackles
  • Has a tendency to bounce too many runs wide
  • Better burst quickness than outright speed
  • Gets caught on dashes to the perimeter
  • Takes jarring punishment from tacklers
  • Put the ball on the ground twice right at the goal line
  • Carries the ball too loosely when approaching interior traffic

DeVaunty Bausby was cut,I thought he played well for the Eagles in 2018.

Yeah but they just spent a 5th on Gainwell.  Huntley was Detroit's 5th rounder the previous year and didn't even make the roster.  I think both of them will end up with the team, at least on the PS.

They were probably just giving Reagor as many looks as possible figuring if he doesn’t pan out (as KOR) they can go the safe route and use Ward or Scott there again.  Maybe Watkins gets a shot too.

Gainwell is the best receiving g RB on the team.  And he's shown himself to be better than expected as an inside runner as well.  (Not great.  Just better than expected.)  He stays.  And he plays.  Huntley is a Maybe for the PS.
