The deep ball...

They were underthrown plain and simple. Not sure if it's arm strength or Hurts doesn't realize how fast his guys are yet. I have a feeling he will be connecting those in the near future. I wanna see more runs by Hurts, I feel it will open up the WRs some more.

The 49ers don't have a great secondary. People were open at times he just isn't a passing QB. He will run though.

It's all timing. Underthrown, overthrown. We have to remember there wasn't much preseason with the starters. Game speed is different. It was an average game and 1 step out of bounds erased and that game ends 18-17. 21-17 if the FG doesn't get blocked.

Hurts carried 10x for 82 yrds and a TD. Some of the play calls were questionable. McLeod should help the run-D in the box. Singleton had a lot of tackles 5-6/11 but those tackles gotta come sooner. He also slid down a few and missed them.

I think we'll be fine.

Enough of this foolishness. He drops a damn dime to Quez for 91.. If Q doesn't get caught from Behind and If Reagor doesn't step out by an inch that's 2 more passing TDs for Hurts. It's his 2nd year with no preseason. "he's not a passing QB" sounds ridiculous.

Right, he was just a little late on a couple throws. He'll need to work on this, but if he gets those passes out on time, they can look like:

LOL that he had to slow down to catch else it's a TD for sure. Keep making excuses. The guy isn't a passing QB for a team that wants to win a SB. He's a guy who will run and make some throws here and there, but never consistently throw the ball at a high level. You think he could outduel Stafford? Nope. Brady? Nope. List keeps going. He couldn't even beat a team today with a not so great secondary.

The F are you talking about? He was 77% last week. 1st QB in NFL history to pass for over 1000 and run for 300 in his 1st 5 starts.

Did you just ask if he could out duel Fing Brady? You sound ridiculous. Go pull for the Colts and your boy mr glass Wentz. Ya'll couldn't wait to surface. Last week killed you guys.

People are going to make too much out of this loss (and overanalyze) just like they made too much out of the win last week.  This whole package is a work in progress … expect highs and lows as they work to figure things out.

LOL dude...the Falcons suck. The 49ers secondary isn't good. Keep being a homer. Hurts is not an NFL starting QB and I'm not a Wentz guy so keep grasping at straws. I was here last week saying this as well, so keep up. And yes I said Brady. If the goal is to win a Super Bowl you have to beat a good QB in the playoffs by throwing the ball well. That isn't Hurts.

Here we go. Now if he under threw him you'd be complaining that it could've went for 90. Did you honestly want me to call it a "47 yrd pass"? This is what was griped about last week. "Eartz could've had another 25 yrds if Hurts didn't under-throw him". SO he deserved being mentioned last week.. but don't mention it this week?

If all you're going to do is cry and whine GTFO. "Diehardfan"? Man please. You sound ridiculous and just don't know it. "He's not a starting QB"? SMFH blocked

He under threw Reagor today and I complained about it. Didn't look like he had the arm strength to make the throw. Reagor had to slow down for it

Don't know anything about your last week comment

Dude don't be a drama queen like some chick on a reality show...he's a running QB. That's it. The fact you don't know it doesn't reflect on me.

My man.. please explain how you "slow down" AND fall forward. Watch it again. You are literally complaining about what should've been a TD pass if not for stepping out by 2 inches.

He slowed down. It was very visible and I'm not the only one that noticed it. You can google it and people have brought it up. Can't find video of the incomplete

I think you two are talking about two different plays.

Anyone that doesn’t think Hurts arm strength is an issue right now is going to be in for a rude awakening as it gets talked about all week and going forward. That can change like it did for Wilson, but as of right now his arm strength is a liability on deep routes and out routes.

Are we debating the same play? Are you talking about what should've been the TD to Reagor but was called back because Reagor's heel was out of bounds? If so, it's posted above. The catch is being made with Reagor falling forward. Falling forward as if to indicate it was slightly overthrown.

I just questioned that. Still trying to block the clown who literally said Hurts doesn't compare to Brady.. LMAO.. Who the hell wants to debate that bullsht.

You don't need a great secondary when your DL is dominating like the 9ers were today.

Sirrianni should have seen nobody was in the box, they weren't needed to help stop the run so they were protecting against the deep ball......and he's calling deep passes.

Not Smart!!
