Weekly line thread: Eagles +6.5 vs. Chiefs

Lots of 7.5 out there too but right now the Vegas consensus has the home doggie Eagles getting less than a TD under another high total.

Line: Chiefs -6.5/7.5 Eagles
Total: 54.5/55
ML: Chiefs - 330/Eagles +270

At first blush it's hard to envision a scenario in which you'd bet the Eagles in this spot but KC is 1-13-1 ATS in their last 15 games, including 0-3 this year.

We couldn’t stop Dak, Zeke & Schultz. How in the world are we going to stop Mahomes, Hill & Kelce?

I don't know either.

Nevertheless, if you'd put $100 on the Chiefs each of their last 15 games you'd be minus $1330.

37-14 Chefs.

If Siriani continues his recto-cranial inversion and refuses to run the ball, make it 55-3.

Yeah I'm not sure we score 14 to be honest with you. I think we will fall behind early and then the run game will disappear.

The Chiefs defense is not great against pass or rush and is giving 31.5 points a game. we probably lose but I think this may not be the absolute cornholing some of you envisage.

But the last two weeks our offense hasn't been great full stop.

I think the Dallas defense is a lot better than it's given credit for, if Sirianni can call a balanced game (that's a big if) I think we can score on a defense that's conceding over 30 points a game

To be fair... I said the same thing going in to the game and I was scoffed at.

You new around here? KC giving up 31.5 a game is a surefire giveway that the Eagles will struggle to score 20.

The ONLY way the eagles can have a remote chance of beating the Chiefs is to keep Mahommes, Hill and Kelce on the bench as much as possible.

That means running the ball ALOT, mixed in with quick, short passing game......moving the chains, and dominating the time of possession.

That's easier said than done especially with a banged up O-line......and a reluctance to run the ball.

Which makes getting 7 or so at home worth another look.  The Chiefs aren't the juggernaut they were the last couple of years.  Vegas sees a team that's played a lot of games and has failed to cover 13 of their last 15 games.

Sure things pay for everything from thousand-room casinos to powerful offshore sports book servers.

Maybe we will, but I think their defense is a lot easier to score on than Dallas who only gave up 17 to the Chargers in LA, the Chargers couldn't beat 20 points against either Dallas or Washington but put 30 on the Chiefs at Arrowhead. The Browns put up more points against the Chiefs in Kansas than they did against the worst performance I've seen from any team for years against Chicago.

Knowing my predictive powers the Chiefs will decide to turn up and beat us hollow on Sunday, but I think KC are a lot closer to Atlanta level of defense than Dallas.

Luckily Josh Gordon isn't playing this week, or he isn't supposed to anyway.

No. We need to keep up and KC scores more than the Dalturds. That means no runs this week.
