Still bummed Jordan Howard won't be back

clement only cost 825,000 vet min , no way howard was taking that. clement says he's 100% healthy. howard got a 2 year  $10 million contract

To complain about this signing is idiotic.  Clement is here to compete for a roster spot and he's proven that he is a very effective back in a limited role.

As to the injuries, should we cut Wentz, Brooks, the defensive backfield, Jackson, Ridgeway because they suffered multiple injuries?  Graham would have been cut in his first 2 years and the same with Barnett.......hey while we're at it, just cut the team down to 35 players who promise not to get hurt and save salary cap money.  F------ stupid argument.

If Clement is able to make the roster and contribute, that's an asset the Eagles didn't have before the re-signing. If he can't, it's no big loss. I don't know why anybody would complain about it.

Exactly!  I for one hope like hell he is healthy and can contribute. Sign Hyde and you have a nice RB room with Sanders, Hyde, Clement, Scott with varying running styles and skillsets.

If he can make the team then great if not, no big deal. His signing is low risk and he's getting paid the veteran minimum which is under 900k. Not a big cap hit if it doesn't work out.

It's not a big deal really. I don't have high hopes for him anyway. A nice local story of a young player majorly contributing in the biggest game of his life.

I’m a huge Clement fan.

Meetoo . . . I especially liked his acting job as Foles was calling signals on the "Philly Special".

As Foles goes off to the right saying "Easy! Easy! Kill! Kill! Lane! Lane!" Clement is in the backfield

distracting defenders by gesturing with his hands as if to say:  "What's up?? What're we doing here??"

Absolutely priceless and great job!

I think it's a pretty poor move really. He left because well he can't stay healthy, nobody else wanted him and now he's back? I don't like to root against players but I'm hoping he doesn't make the roster because if he does that's bad for the team.

Hmm... I'm assuming we offered him not much. It doesn't hurt to take a look.

It doesn't hurt as long as we bring another option in. I just don't think we can rely on Corey to stay healthy and so you can't rely on him to be there as a back up if Sanders goes down.

Is it just me then who isn't a real fan of this move?

Yeah bro.  I think they're going to keep 4-5 RBs and Corey is more than likely going to be one of em.  Had one of the best rookie seasons in Eagles history than had some bad luck.  I'm more than ok with giving him another chance.  Now he goes down again this year, it's goodbye.

Oooh no no definitely not 5! Much rather keep extra OL and WRs. Keep 4, Sanders, Scott, new addition and then Clement and I'd be ok with that.

I'm not shocked if Doug keeps 5.  I'd rather 4 too though.

I wouldn't be shocked with Doug but I think it is a waste. The two UDFAs should make it to the PS. Keep them around just in case.

Don't be surprised if the 4 are Sanders, Scott, Warren, Clement

I've liked this because I think you will be right but that's a pretty bad RB room overall.

Umm...you remember the Josh Adams days?  I think that's 4 young guys with a variance of skills.  I don't need/want a "veteran" back as long as all 4 come healthy out of TC.  If they sign Hyde I wouldn't complain, but I won't if they don't either.

That's true but I also don't know how good Scott really is. Same with Clement to be honest with you, it was 1 year.

This is a year to see how good Scott, JJaw, Sanders, etc. are.  Still a TON of time left between now and the season if one occurs.

Hope he stays healthy and shows what he can do. He's a nice complentary piece as far as 3rd backs go.

With expanded rosters, teams might dedicate an extra spot for RB and that might make even more teams use the committee approach. So, the days that one guy gets 25 carries + might really start to decline.

I have a feeling Scott is a diamond in the rough. He just needed a chance to play. I love his burst and for a smaller back he finishes runs pretty good.

I don't disagree I'd certainly keep Scott around but not as the #2...
