December 1, 20214 yr it's certainly true nobody would care about him if he wasn't making a ruckus. he's a pretty bad NBA player.

December 1, 20214 yr So, in summation: The majority of the EMB dismisses Enes Kanter because HE’S APPALLED BY GENOCIDE. I’ve spent my entire life wondering how the German people could let "National Socialism” happen. Then, in the last decade, I’ve basically watched the beginnings all over again.

And I don't think anyone here dismisses Kanter because he's appalled by genocide. I personally think it's great that he's calling out Lebron/China. But, yeah, his rage is a bit selective because there's a much bigger market for Lebron hate than Jordan hate.

I can't tolerate hypocrisy. Kanter is selectively using someone more famous to advance himself. Instead of calling out Nike and LeBron James, do the hard work of calling out politicians and trying to change government policy. Amazingly, that's what he did when combating US policy towards Turkey. So he is willing to do it. But calling out Nike and LeBron gets you on TV faster. Don't attack other people who have no ability to change things just to up your Q score.

On second thought, I’ve read your posts. You’re better off sticking with the foolish ad hominem attack. At this point opposing China’s government shouldn’t be a political issue. It’s just being a Fing human being.

Talk about faux outrage.

I think it's great, which you would've known if you read my last post. But of course, like Moss points out, Republicans unfortunately could give an F about human rights. You just think it's a good political issue. And your chicken little nonsense about National Socialism is hilarious coming from a Trump supporter. Hence the picture.
December 1, 20214 yr Yeah, the implicit part of America First was that Trump didn’t care about people in other countries. If you were a cheerleader for that then don’t expect people to take you seriously now.

That you’re not able to see the contradiction is strange. Do you want to keep buying cheap plastic goods from China or do you want to pay more because you don’t want to do business with China? Nike isn’t the only American corporation making stuff in China. I thought that was common knowledge but I guess not.

But I’m the one with the disconnect.

That’s why he cozies up to people like Kim Jong un, Erdogan, or Bolsonaro without blinking an eye.

January 18, 20224 yr Zuker cares because he thinks he can win political points. Trump definitely didn’t care about them or about human rights in general.
