Wonder what Lurie likes most

400 yards passing and losing or 236 yards running and winning ?

Also only 2 penalties . That’s a big improvement

Lions play very hard even in those losses.   Had they lost this game everyone would be ripping them.   They did what they needed to do.

Missed the game. How the F we win by such a margin & barely hitting 100 pass yards?

We Rushed 46 times for almost 240 Yards.   Boston, Jordan, Jalen and Kenny all got yards.

They ran the ball well. 4 TDs between Howard and Boston Scott.

I know everyone is going to be like: It‘s the Lions, it means nothing!

But that did feel good.

All we gotta do is play more 0-7 teams. It'll feel great!!

Go figure.. they start using running backs when dallas has already run away with the division.

Also let the record show: It was against the hapless, woeful,  0-7 Lions. 🤣

We got more that a few crappy teams on the way. Giants, and WFT on the horizon. Broncos aren’t much to write home about either. Winnable games on the horizon as long as we aren’t watching Hurts drop back for 40 passes a game.

With the draft capital we have... Not so bad.

Oh and I see Wentz is still doing Wentz things!

You've always been a guy who'd rather have a higher draft pick than a win.

Part of me wishes that they would've saved this game plan for the Chargers. Anyway, it was great to see J. Howard activated. Looks like he even made a tackle on the first punt by the Lions. Not sure if I believe the media narrative yet that this team is gelling into something great, but maybe we're building for the next 1-2 years.

How about Milton Williams!

Seems like the Eagles have steadily forgone the big back and the run game since they won the Super Bowl. The past two seasons that philosophy has led to seven wins. Maybe these guys finally will get back to the fundamental stuff that had them winning.

Not really no. Depends on the situation. Depends on the roster. Depends on a lot of things actually.

Judgement is still out on this team - we don't know what they are. But the rest of our schedule is actually pretty damn easy, like really easy. Any decent team would make a strong run to close the season with who we got.

Chargers next week is tough but then Broncos, Saints (may be down to 3rd string QB), Giants, Jets, FT, Giants, FT, Cowboys (may be resting starters).

Time to find out if we are a decent team but one that's on the level of the top teams or if we are really are crap like most of our opponents down the stretch

Oh absolutely. So far we have seen 2 really good performances (against bad teams). We have seen an ok performance against the Chiefs. We've seen terrible performances against Dallas, Tampa and Vegas and we saw a gritty performance against Carolina.

It took them this long to get football 101 right.

True, but in fairness it seems to take plenty of coaches forever to figure that one out.

Agreed.

But considering how much inexperience we have going on, a stretch of supposedly "easier" opponents (and that is dangerous to believe) could be just what the doctor ordered to find themselves. And to have a better shot playing against better teams..

I don't disagree but what does beating the Lions and the Jets and the Falcons really tell us? Ok we haven't played the Jets yet but let's say we handle them... Does that actually teach us anything really?

Yes, it was against a weak team.  But a win is a win and loving it.  Also love the run game.  Scott did well.  So did Howard.  His down-hill run style is what this team needs the most.  Keep him in the roster and future game plans.

The defense did well too.  Edwards was outstanding, got to the ball and tackled well.  The DL did their things and racked up 6 (?) sacks!

One big disappointment: the TV broadcast tuned to another game at around 3 pm, cutting short of the glorious afternoon.
