I have not but my spider X is money for me

 

I did order a nee set of ping 530 irons yesterday. I have played titleists for a few gens but as i creep up on 50 its time to get more forgiving

I've wanted to buy a spider for years but it feels like the face opens on my setup because of the rounded bottom. It's a mental thing. 

I hope the irons come quickly and you enjoy them. It's always fun getting new toys.

Tips on some fairway woods please!  I have super old quad pros with stiff shafts and I need to drop down to regular and get something that isn't 25 years old.  What you guys got out there for me?

If you can still find them, the Rogue ST Max Woods are staying in my bag for a very long time. They are the easiest 5w I've ever hit, and I like them better than the Paradym or 425 that I owned. If you aren't a stiff flex you might have an easier time finding them. I went with the 5w and 7 wood and took out the hybrid. 

It's funny going to the local stores because I'll see used Paradym, Srixons, and Ping 425s/430s woods all over but not many of the Rogue outside of the 3w. I'll see the drivers but I'm not a fan of those either.

My g430 max 3 wood is stupid easy to hit even off the deck

Also test the TM q10 they are fire

Most of the fitters at my local store have the q10 driver and love it. It wouldn't shock me that their woods are good as well because TM makes good stuff. 

I was looking at them as well until I fell into the SIM2 by mistake.

Looking at all of those online the TM woods looked the nicest to my eye.  Another option could be the Srixons simply since I think they look good as well, are a bit cheaper, and I'm already playing Srixon irons and driver.  I've never been a Ping guy for anything, can't really say why.

I'll go into the shop in a week or two and try some out.  I will need an option for 220 yards which I don't have in the bag right now.  My 4-iron goes about 200 and then all I have is the driver on top of that.  I tried to hit the old quad pros but got next to nothing out of those so I just took them out for now.  I really only need a 4 or 3-wood in the 220-240 range as I am hitting the long irons pretty well already.

the ping thing is the offset. Its why i never played them but they have moved away from that in recent years. My new irons are barely noticeable.

Or look for a sim2 max hybrid they are cheaper since q10 came on the scene

I’ve always played Cleveland wedges. Couple of them will need replaced middle of the year. 

Quality wedges. As the callaways. I just always loved the vokeys for all the grind options

Wow, they are only $180. I haven't used a hybrid in years but that is a good deal. The one I hit the best used to be the D9 for some reason. I tried not to like it but they didn't do bad. They weren't on the same level as the better ones but neither was the price.

Speaking of Wilson I was fit into Staff wedges and I wanted Vokey or Cleveland. Same with their irons and I was looking at more expensive options. I wouldn't use their drivers or woods but I like their irons and wedges even though my mindset was against them. I pulled my old Cleveland 54 out the last round and switched off on each hole and I hit the staff much better.

Its the white design on the crown that bugs me. Messes with my eyes/alignment for reasons i dont understand

That guy stole the ball and took off running. People are weird.

The hybrids don't have an alignment mark either. Mine arrived today and that bugs me a bit.
