Procus Posted December 12, 2021 Posted December 12, 2021 Wallace leaves his plum job at Fox after 18 years to join CNN+ Fake News streaming service. Would love to have been a fly on the wall to see what precipitated that move. I have seen a lot of negative comments from Fox viewers on social media through the years, but why now? https://www.cnn.com/2021/12/12/media/chris-wallace-leaving-fox-news/index.html Chris Wallace announces he is leaving Fox News, joining CNN+ By Oliver Darcy and Brian Stelter, CNN Updated 12:03 PM ET, Sun December 12, 2021 1
Guest Posted December 12, 2021 Posted December 12, 2021 So he’s leaving a parody news network to join a real news network. Sounds like a smart move.
vikas83 Posted December 12, 2021 Posted December 12, 2021 His presence at Fox was no longer tenable, given his dedication to honest reporting. Plus, he seems to want to jump on the streaming freight train. 9

I bet he just couldn't take being associated with them anymore.

The most important thing for these media types is exposure. From all appearances, something behind the scenes precipitated his abrupt departure. 1

CNN and MSNBC are stupidly trying to mirror Fox, at the expense of their credibility, but nobody cares about credibility if they're consistently being told they're "right". None of them are news. They're entertainment. 5 1
Boogyman Posted December 12, 2021 Posted December 12, 2021 I have never watched any network news on TV in my entire life. 1

Boogyman Posted December 12, 2021 Posted December 12, 2021 I have heard Hannity on the radio a few times to listen to him whine. I noticed he always has to add "you should be angry/scared/glad/etc," to almost every bit he talks about. The clips I have seen from Carlson, he does the same thing. It must suck for some of you idiots that you need someone else to tell you how you should feel about all the different thing going on in the world. 3
vikas83 Posted December 12, 2021 Posted December 12, 2021 His contract was up and he decided to leave. Apparently he was adamantly opposed to Carlson’s piece about Jan 6 conspiracies. 1

At this point, anyone who still doesn’t understand this is either stupid or willfully ignorant.

20dawk4life Posted December 12, 2021 Posted December 12, 2021 Swap him and Cuomo and watch peoples views change. 1
Boogyman Posted December 12, 2021 Posted December 12, 2021 Anyone who finds network news entertaining needs to get a hobby or seven. 2
mayanh8 Posted December 12, 2021 Posted December 12, 2021 If I were Wallace I wouldn't want Fox and their stable of lunatics trading on my good name as a legitimate political commentator. No self respecting human would tolerate it.
