Cannot see how any eagles fan does not love what jalen brings to the team. He's got that it factor, where even when behind you got a chance. What I loved about Cunningham.

No bone headed plays from Reagor and more receiving yards than JJ this week. Christmas has come a couple of days early 🙂

The bar is pretty low.  He basically only caught passes he didn’t have to run a route for.  He’s so bad at route running they don’t even let him leave the line 😂

Also how does a guy who is so good after the catch with the ball in his hands on a WR quick screen suck so bad returning kicks when he has 15 yards of open space in front of him?

Giving Jalen Reagor a little credit, but really most of his passes are basically screens at this point, but he did have a big run tonight.

Can anyone else catch punts?

So, the Eagles win pretty handily,  after everyone wanted to burn everything up in the first half.

The Eagles are 7-7, legit shot at a wild card spot.

Hurts had a good game.  His passer rating was 110.4 - and included in that was a crazy INT.  Keep him as the starter for next year.

Hurts gets a year better.  The Eagles, if the draft has one,  get a big and fast RB.   Like Jordan Howard,  but as good a Jordan Howard type as the draft has.  And that pick might not be a high one.  If you have this years version of Henry, or Chubb, Fournette or Taylor,   that great oline will open a lot of holes and that will lead to big runs from these guys.   If theres a freak beast rb, consider him too.   But,  the rb addition should improve the run game,  which is already very good.     Perhaps add an oliner?   But mostly defense with the top picks.   There are resources there to really improve the defense.   Even more improved running game,  perhaps so dominant that the Eagles could just run always, plus an improved defense.

If the Eagles don't get the wild card spot this year, they should next year.   Improved defense should do it.

I think he caught at least one downfield.  I thought he did well.

I’d take a hard look at gainwell.  Where has Boston scott been in the return game?  Seriously anyone with a pulse > Reagor

I don’t recall any downfield catches from Reagor. 😂

well,  I might have misremembered.   I'm left with the overall impression that Reagor did well, though.  Decent returns.

If there is a thing they figured out he can do well, have him do that.

Overall I felt like he was better than he has been, but he only had three catches. Compared to what he did in the past it’s an improvement even if it was mostly screen passes.

No he had one on a crossing route with Hurts throwing it on the run to his left.

That’s right it was like a 10 yard pass or so. He could have took that upfield, but his momentum took him out of bounds.

You mentioned before about converting to rb, and I'm not sure he could or should do all the rb things,  but, as a WR,  he could get in the backfield and run the ball.  A new task for wrs to do.   He's a speedy weapon maybe,  get the ball to the speedy weapon in space.

This is why I love Tuesday football.

Undefeated...

Wasn’t able to warch it live, just from the highlights at breakfast: Big fumble from Hurts but he had a very good game. Good passing and without two crucial drops from Goedert would have been even better.

Goedert despite the drops with a decent game. The OL started a bit slow, then went back to total dominance.

Reagor for the first time in a long time looked like a fast receiver. Sanders with a good game. Howard still hasn’t lost a step and came up big for us when it counted once more.

Defense started slow then shut down Washington for the most part.

I was scared after a slow start. Now I am proud how we handled things.

Merry Christmas!! :Eagle_smiley:

I watched the game in 40'. Thought after a bad start and after silly turnovers the team got it together. Some drops left points out on the field too.

But this was a WFT missing players and with a QB they brought in only days ago. I don't think this was a particularly good win but a win is a win and at this point its all about the wins.

Next up NYG. Got to win that one.

I’ll repost with the fix so people can focus more on Hurts and less on me. 😂🤣😂

I deleted my post busting on it- could happen to anyone, plus it's pretty cool.

Well they hadn’t played a game in 17 days, so I’m not surprised there was some rust early on. Having a BYE is enough to get a team out of sync. Add another couple days on top of that just makes it worse.

Its always been impressive to me how Reid has always managed to be great coming off the BYE week because a lot of teams struggle to get back into the flow of the game in the first half.

I think whatever he does it needs to be pretty close to the LOS. Whatever happens next year the Eagles need a new starter on the outside.

Honestly the only "good win” in the foreseeable future would be that Dallas game. It will be the true test for this team as a whole. Beating a divisional opponent isn’t small potatoes regardless. This team swept the Eagles last year so beating them and Hurts finally getting a divisional win helps too.

Not to be all Debbie-Downer, but WFT was a decimated team last night.  As good as we think the Eagles may have looked last night, I still cannot see them competing with an actual "good" team.

It's good that we can beat the bad teams, but we have to actually be good enough to compete with the legitimate teams.  If we make the playoffs, I'll be excited and look forward to it, etc...that's the fan in me.  But the rational, unbiased part of me knows we will get our doors blown off and it will be painful to watch.

There is a scenario where we could play Dallas in Week 18...prob against their backups if their positioning is locked in....then turn around and play them for real the next week.  7th seed plays the 2 seed...which is Dallas right now.  And if that happens, that will make watching said doors being blown off that much more painful.

We split with Dallas last year. We won the Ben Denucci Bowl.

Hurts never beat a divisional opponent.

The Chargers are a good team and they definitely competed in that one. Sure, the defense blew it with that long drive to end the game, but they played with them the whole way.
