January 11, 20223 yr This is the first time I did a mock with the trade feature… pick up a couple 2nd rounders next year, a 2nd this year and still got 3 - 1st round picks this year.
January 11, 20223 yr This Pro Footbal Network mock draft tool is cool sheet. Team priorities will change with signing of free agents to fill some of those needs. And, the tool is loaded with a specific ranking of players. Your preferences may differ. But, it's loads of fun. I especially like the interface for trades. Don't think the NFL has a draft pick trade tool like this, but they could if they wanted to.
January 11, 20223 yr Yeah… I’d probably blow all our draft capital piling up picks from the first 2 rounds…
January 12, 20223 yr 2022 NFL Mock Draft | Tankathon See how tankathon has QB Pickett in the top 10? Different player ranking. I believe justified. Pushes more players to us at 15 16 19. So, I'm gonna be both Eagles and another team. Force Pickett to be picked in top 10. If you drill into team needs to see who needs a QB, Lions, Panthers, Broncos, Washers all pick before Eagles. Steelers at 20 could trade up. Eagles also listed as needing QB (and TE?), but not EDGE, DL, or OL. Pickett is going somewhere in the top 14 picks.

January 28, 20223 yr My first foray into the world of mock draft simulations! Came away with this haul and two 2023 firsts!
January 29, 20223 yr Was initially going into this planning not to go drafting a QB, but the upside of Ridder in the 2nd round was tough to pass up. I wouldn't take him in the 1st though.
January 30, 20223 yr Was going to do 2 different drafts, one were I don't draft a QB and the other where I do. This was supposed to be the one where I don't draft a QB, but ARI offered a trade of 23 & 55 for 16 and the value was good so I took it. I knew it might mean losing out on Ojabo and it did. I think Gardner is too good to pass up on and we need CB help. Slay is probably only here 2-3 more seasons. In this scenario my hope is that we sign FA S Williams from NO and by drafting Brisker here you have a very good and young S combo at least 4-5 seasons. And yes, at #23 I decided to draft who I think is the most NFL ready QB in the class and with one season of sitting, learning, continued rehabbing of the knee, and an ish ton of film study that he'd be ready to take over as starting QB in 2023. However, I do think if his knee checks out medically (which it's supposed to) and he performs well enough at the Senior Bowl that he'll end up being a top 12 pick. Oh, and in this scenario you could trade Hurts for a 2023 2nd/3rd Round pick. I was targeting LB Muma and Edge Enagbare with the 2nd Round picks, but NYJ took Muma early in the round and Enagbare went 2-3 picks before #51. So I went with LB Harris and Edge Williams. Went with the latter because he has the ability to play either 4-3 or as a 3-4 OLB and if Gannon doesn't get a HC gig then he'll like that. With #86 I was going back/forth on 2 Cincy players: Pierce and RB Ford. I went with Pierce because passing is more important in today's NFL and he's a big body with athletic ability (has averaged 17.0+ YPC in each of his 3 seasons and one site has him down for a 4.39/40 time) and can play outside or in the slot. With him, Smith, and Watkins you could rotate them outside/slot to create mismatch nightmares for the D. Buh-bye to Reagor and Ward (though Howie would have Reagor remain as WR4 to save face). With two 4th Round picks I was targeting RB, IOL, and DT/2nd Edge. Also considered the super punter Araiza with the last pick as winning the battle of field position is definitely worth something. I had a choice between Edge Gunter and DT Ridgeway from Arkansas (transfer, played final season at ARK while playing first 3 with Illinois State) who is a big body at 6'6" 320. Good run stuffer, but no better than average at pass rush. I want my DTs to be able to pass rush up the middle. So I double down on Edge with Gunter. Was looking at RB Pierce of Florida who is like a quicker/younger Howard and can pass block. However, I felt adding quality depth to the OL was more important so I went with Mays. Interesting thing about him is he's both position and scheme versatile. He has played 4 out of 5 OL positions, including snaps at C. And he played in UGA's power-run O before transferring to Tennessee and playing in their zone blocking O. So I thought he was really good value and Stout could coach him up. Last pick in the 5th Round and leaving me with 9 total picks in this draft, which is closer to average. I was hoping one of RBs Robinson or Haskins would still be there at #153, but that didn't work out. I ended up taking Brooks (5'11 215) who had over 1200 yards and 13 TDs in 2021 with a 6.3 YPC. I also could have held off on a RB as a 2022 RBBC group of Sanders/Gainwell/Scott/Huntley(Howard again?) should be good enough then 2023 you'd have to draft a RB to replace Sanders, who I don't think is worth a 2nd contract of at least $6M+/season (that's what Hines from IND got). So either Brooks was the best RB (not undersized) on the board and your RBBC would be Sanders/Brooks/Gainwell/Scott or hold off til next draft and get Araiza to help tilt the odds in your favour in the battle of field position. Though, who knows how effective he will be with the bigger NFL ball and having to kick in colder Northeast locations like Philly, NY, WSH, and if we get an away game vs an AFC/NFC North team in Nov/Dec? So in this draft I ended up with 9 picks that break down as follows: 1st Round = 3 2nd Round = 2 3rd Round = 1 4th Round = 2 5th Round = 1 Here's the trades: I got ARI 23 & 55, ARI got 16 I got 96 & 116, KC got 83 & 207 I got 86, LV got 96, 161, and 165 (Trade value chart 160pts for me, 165.2 for them so maybe I could have also gotten a 7th or a 2023 6th/7th)
