March 1, 20223 yr Seeing how the Eagles keep losing FO people and how Howie doesn’t have a contract extension yet is it possible the Eagles might be considering a replacement from within?

In one thread you'll say Howie is going nowhere, then here ask if they're planning to replace him. You just like throw ideas out there huh? No, Lurie isn't planning on replacing Howie. The fact that people under him get jobs elsewhere reinforces to Lurie that Howie is great and hires great people. He said so last year. It's not his fault he doesn't draft well, other teams are taking the players Howie wanted so what dya gonna do?

Heck you should be happy he isn’t. I highly doubt he goes anywhere, but him not having a contract to this point beyond 2022 is something to keep an eye on.

Now that you said it, watch them announce it...Lurie does his annual press conference sometime in the spring before the draft.

Yep, I’ve been saying for the past couple of weeks the exact same … that you can expect an announcement coming sometime over these next few weeks that he has been extended.

BFD don’t let the door smack ya on the way out. Wasn't the scouts who favored Jefferson and the coaching staff who favored Reagor?

Eazy eagle is all over the map on this one. I think he is a Howie spy. I'm surprised he didn't get an extension after @EazyEaglez made him executive of the year!

He's a horrible draft coordinator, however, you can't say he hasn't put together some amazing deals over the years. He is the man responsible for putting together our Super Bowl roster. A lot of teams try that and fail. He also didn't put us in a situation where we'd be paying for that one trophy for the next 10 years. Aren't we though?

We are 4 years removed from our SB and we have 3 #1 picks this year, and it's not even a result of missing the playoffs last year. His achilles heel, to me, is that he sucks at drafting. I think if we get some solid picks here we can go even further in the playoffs next year.

Hmmmm.... the first bolded thing is sort of negated by the second bolded thing, is it not? Making the third bolded thing a bit of a stretch.

I honestly think most of his fails are drafting skill positions, If it were me, I'd draft trench players. Not very glamorous, I know, however, wins still happen in the trenches.

Danny Watkins, Derek Barnett... also trench players that he missed on. I'd add in, he made plenty of other mistakes with regards to Free Agents and trades in recent years. So, he's got a lot of mistakes to atone for.
