Funny thing is, I saw one of these Facebook things saying "what is your first car" and my mom's NEPA cousin answering it. I wrote something snarky like "A Pontic Fisherman. You know, the one that tries to steal your info". Sure enough, the next day she posts "My account was hacked!!!!"

We did have a station wagon as our family car and I passed my driver's test in it. Purchased my 1st car in 1979, a 1980 Chevy Monza brand new was under $5K I paid $98.89 on a 36 month loan. Hard to believe my current wheels are 11 years old, paid for of course, 112K miles, going in for service tomorrow. The mailman delivered a package to me the other day and asked what year it was. He has a 2012 model which he said isn't as nice. He says he still drives it and has over 260K miles on his. Glad I have the model with the sun roof and leather seats and the pearl white just as pictured. Needs some touch up work which I'll do some day on the hood and a spot on one side. Minimal rust. Unlike my brain!
March 24, 20223 yr Love it!! Can always count on y'all for a good laugh on a bad morning. See home improvement thread, had to reset the furnace again this morning. Oh, and glad Jr is OK.
March 24, 20223 yr 1999 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Z34. In this actual color. She was a beaut. Smoked at least 400 million marlboro reds in it and always had a few 40s in the trunk. Now I drive a boring black 2015 Nissan Rogue SL with 102,000 miles. Don't smoke cigarettes nor transport 40's in it unfortunately. I enjoy not having a car payment, aka I am a poor.

Mine might have been a '99 too, can't remember. Gave me all sorts of transmission problems.

It was not built to last that's for sure. Not that I took great care of it but there was constantly knobs and things falling off, breaking. By the end, my gas gauge didn't work so I just drove around estimating how much I had left and filling up whenever. (Only ran out of gas once) Drivers side window wouldn't go back up if you put it down. Transmission was fine but replaced the alternator.

White Platinum exterior. We had a 2014 Limited (Kodiak brown) for a bit, but traded it in for the Sport which we got new. Limited had more options in it (it was pretty much fully loaded) but this one performs so much better. Love it.
