No idea. My first thought is that the guy is a nut bag. Not that he represents some group, or ideology.

I would say the purpose was to hurt as many as possible.

You folks are free to be as terrorized as you like.

why are you so afraid of calling this terrorism ?

Totally unexpected that Toaster can't connect the dots between what this guy did and his ideology of hatred. Completely floored rn.

Anyway, for those that aren't willingly trying to bury their heads in the sand because they are intellectual cowards, here's more:

Seemed to really like the BLM shooter. Unfortunately, we'll never know his true motivation.

At what point do we take a step back and try to figure out what's causing this radicalization?

Slavery. Black Nationalism was founded during abolitionism. It's been a thing for over a century. Recently, though, the FBI has seen a rise in Black Nationalist groups that roughly tracks at the same rate as White Nationalist groups over the last decade or so. The fact that both groups have radicalized and began resorting to violence isn't a surprise.

It isn't fear. I don't know why this dewsh killed people. Could be plain old nuts. Not enough info. Do we even know the dewsh's name, let alone the motivation?

Usually, terrorists have some political agenda, to cause terror in a certain set of people. What is your basis for claiming it is terror?

Other than you being terrified

Just your daily reminder that religion sucks.

As a group, we have to be better than this thread.

Sounds like racial terrorism. This country seems like a powder keg.

I still think that it has a lot to do with liberal politicians telling people they are subjugated by whites and held back by systemic racism in virtually all walks of life.

It's interesting that Trump was asked to disavow white supremacy roughly 473 times during his candidacy and presidency, should liberal politicians be asked similar questions about black nationalism? Should the rhetoric at all be toned down so we don't see anymore of this explosion of black on white violence?

The information has not only been posted in this thread, but it's been told directly to you. You are just an intellectual coward who is now feigning complete ignorance because, again, you are a coward.

Quote

Tuesday evening, the authorities identified 62-year-old Frank R. James as a person of interest in the investigation and released a photo at an NYPD briefing led by Commissioner Keechant Sewell.

On Wednesday morning, Mayor Eric Adams said James was no longer just a person of interest and would be considered the suspect and a wanted fugitive going forward.

Police now have probable cause to arrest James for the attempted murder of ten people in the subway, law enforcement sources told ABC News.

So we have a mumbling 62 year old terrorist.

I can tell why y'all are so terrified. Florida is chock full of mumbling old people.

Have they ruled out Kyrie Irving yet?

It's probably less about that and more about an equal and opposite reaction to extremism on the other side. In recent memory we've had either full on or borderline White Nationalists representing districts in Congress. If your grievance is "white people are keeping their foot on our necks" then seeing pro-White Nationalistm grow their share of elected positions in the federal government is going to result in exactly what we're seeing today from the Black Nationalist movement.

If you want everyone to coalesce around the idea that systemic racism isn't a real problem in this country then the first thing we need to do is stop electing officials like Steve King, Paul Gosar, etc... who are responsible for writing and voting on legislation that affects black people.

Yes, Steve King and Paul Gosar are true vectors of power in the country for sure. Their reign of creating systemic institutions of racism needs to end so the healing can begin.

But honestly, you don't think liberal politicians telling blacks virtually every single day that they're systemically oppressed by whites has any effect on this?

The list of representatives who've vocally voiced their support for white nationalism or it's advocates doesn't stop there. Also, can you point to an equal share of representation on the other side? As far as I know it doesn't exist.

As for you're other point? Sure. But I think that affects people who are already inclined to believe that racism just isn't a problem at all in this country. And I don't think that's a reasonable opinion today.

So your working theory is that this guy was radicalized because Paul Gosar was elected to congress in Arizona? Interesting theory. I think it has a lot more to do with literally every liberal politician consistently telling black people they are oppressed by white racism. We'll probably have to agree to disagree on this.

Didn't he create the thread before it was confirmed that the shooter was black, completely invalidating your entire argument?

I mean, is there a better reason than that?

Because I think the word terrorism is overused, and people assign it when it doesn't fit?

Sure, whatever.
