The old one didn't.  I didn't check the new one.  My boys will need two controllers just to increase the chances that one will be charged when they want to play.

I'm pretty sure these are OEM SKUs, not something that Gamestop is bundling together, I could be wrong though. In any case, they aren't price gouging, everything is strictly MSRP as set by Sony.

Oh gotcha. Ya makes sense, I did this with the PS4 too. For some reason the battery life on those was stupid short compared to the PS3 ones. Xbox controllers are a pain in that you have to use OG batteries, but at least you can swap them out instantly and keep on chugging without being tethered.

My luck will be the PS5 will be bricked day one lol. Ps3 and ps4 both didn't even get 1 minute of game play both bricked right out of the box lol. 

I'm no Gamestop fanboi, and maybe I'm alone, but I think they're smart for having those bundles. It's just good business. They knew the demand would be there. And it paid off.

My kids only change the batteries in their xbox controllers when it dies in the middle of a game so they are usually running to grab new batteries and randomly tossing the dead ones somewhere while they hurry back to their game.

I figured out the last year of the PS4's life cycle that if you turn the effing light down all the way down on the controller it lasts much longer lol

Just checked and you're right, these aren't OEM SKUs, but still it's all at MSRP. And complaining about one sheety game is fine, but everything else in the bundle is legit for most people, and considering the scarcity, I was happy at the time to have gotten an order in when everyone else was sold out. I can cancel it now that I got the non-bundled version, but I don't view it as predatory in any way. That should be reserved for the dewshy scalpers that buy up multiple consoles and try to resell them at insane mark-ups.

I've already seen systems listed for $1100 on ebay this morning.

I did that from the get go, but it was still garbage. They should've given us an option to turn the stupid thing off, especially since most of us didn't even have a camera.

Nope bricked as the mother effers wouldn't even turn on for a software update lol. Sheet lick both times. 

The messes up thing was I got the Xbox 360 because it was out before the ps3 and I actually enjoyed the Xbox. So I git the red ring of death and said eff this piece of trash I should of never got an xbox. Went up to gamestop traded in my xbox with all the accessories for them to give me like 100 bucks 🤬. I was still happy to get back to playstation back got home and it didn't even turn on🤬

Yep, and if they replace the one bad game with another one like fortnite or sackboy, is it suddenly no longer predatory? Seems like a stretch to call it that in my view.

I wish they got more use out of the speakers on the controller. Some of the games used it and I thought it made it more immersive

If it makes you feel any better, when I was a kid, the year the Atari 2600 came out, we had to return 7 faulty systems before the 8th one worked.  We even tried the Kenmore knock off version, i think.

I think I know what he was saying but, I wouldn't use that word either. Damn! Those systems were so simple compared to today's consoles I would think there would be more of an issues with all the gadgets in today's machines lol. 

I had no luck with PS3 I had to replace it 3 times . Actually the last time I was convinced I was just going to go back to xbox. Last red light on the way to game stop and was looking at which games were available.... Last of us was brand new at the time saw it was PS exclusive and said screw xbox again lol. After playing last of us I didn't regret it lol

For me at least, I would've probably bought everything in the bundle at some point except for the destruction game. Which is easy enough to sell and get some money back if I had to. At least there's value in getting an extra controller, a year of PSN, and 2 games for the extra money.

Absolutely, I didn't even know what all was included and didn't care I just wanted one at any cost lol. Definitely things I would of used at some point or needed

I forgot the PS Plus. Useful, but on sale anywhere from $35-45 at various times of the year, so I've always bought then and stacked on my account. So technically not paying "mark-up" but still dropping $15-25 more for that than I otherwise would have.
