After a few days of digesting the Gary episode I'm still not sure what the point was. To show how far Ritchie's come? We've seen that already. To show that Mikey was a dick and a mean drunk? Mission accomplished. I never would have wanted to play basketball with that guy. To show that Jimmy's not as shady as everyone thinks he is? Fine but why did we need to know that? It was engaging at times but really just a lot of rambling dialogue repeating the same lines over and over again.

The cynic in me thinks they had a window of availability for both main actors before other things were filmed, and there is a story point they needed to have there for season 5. So let's do this thing, make it overall about nothing but have the moment at the end to explain an absence.

It wouldn't surprise if the woman appeared in Season 5.

The final two episodes of The Bear were some of the finest I’ve ever watched. Talk about sticking the landing.

The last season kind of redeemed this one for. I was exhusted from all of the screaming in seasons past. I thought they put a nice bow on the show.
