I'm not a huge car guy, so maybe I'm off base here......but why in the F would anyone ever get a Lambo SUV?  Doesn't that completely defeat the purpose of "Hey look at me!"

brand loyalty?

Yesterday I learned there is a 20GB hard drive in the X3. I've been using Google Play Music for several years now and either hard-connecting my phone via USB or over bluetooth to play music, but it wouldn't hurt to just have on-board music pre-loaded.

Took my old laptop that has stuff saved on it and transferred songs to a thumb drive. Plugged that into the USB port on the X3 and within 1 minute (and only about 5 button clicks on the infotainment system), I had imported the tracks from the USB into the hard drive.

Car automatically alphabetized songs and was so simple and seamless. In other words, honeymoon phase is still in full effect.

in a barely related story ( ) i got a new phone saturday and when i left the ATT store i linked it to my Ram that i just bought a month ago. well apparently it was still down loading text messages and the entire ride home it would non stop ding in another text on my truck info screen. and if i tried to exit out of the notification, it would immediately ding in another one.

You guy's are all next level.  I'm still tethered to a jack.  No car payments are worth it.

I was able to wipe out close to $2500 in monthly payments recently, so I figure a $600 car payment (that I'll probably pay double on for a while just to always keep myself heavily in the positive on it) won't be too inconvenient. I've already been maxing my 401k for the past 4 months or so and haven't really had much interest yet at looking into investments or anything else to do with the money I have sitting in the bank, so this at least satisfies my urge to be doing something lol

SOLIDARITY, i have a 3' cord that plugs into an earphone jack in my middle console. sounds like i've gotten into a fender bender when i forget to  turn the volume down and remove the jack.

Has anyone swapped out stock audio (amp/speakers) on a BMW and have a recommended brand for quality (and preferably plug-and-play swap out with included wiring harnesses)?

My Chevy truck came with a Bose system that's t1ts - no need to swap it out brah!  BMWs and their cheap sound systems :nonono:

like a court ordered breathalyzer adapter, most modern cars won't start if a BlindGreed song is selected.

I like 4 doors!

Mine has some lights that shine on the ground, but I think they are like cascading hockey sticks? There probably was dealer options (buying new) to get other logos.

This site I have been looking at for possible audio upgrades (for me fan that commented the other day: like 90% of what ends up on dealer lots have the base sound system, which this has and isn't bad, but my Fusion that was the top-level Titanium package has the premium Sony sound system, in a much more compact interior, so the X3 feels much less encapsulating in comparison) lists MINI as one of the other 2 brands they have custom-tailored options for!

https://www.bavsound.com/pages/build-your-kit?step=1

I found another new feature on the MINI last night.   Apparently, every time you turn, it has lights on the sides that shine into the turn you are making to increase visibility.  I have a feeling its going to be one of those things I never knew I needed but won't be able to live without going forward.

I've noticed my adaptive headlights change elevation when I am on sloped roadways. Not sure if they do side to side (I have not noticed, but the LEDs provide much better visibility that is noticeable when I'm back in my Fusion at night)
