The M340 gets 4.1s at 22city/30hwy were you the rav4 guy? well thatll rule out the G70 then. Theyre the same engine and everything.
June 26, 20205 yr Author Just now, mr_hunt said: yep...years ago. it was perfect for my work commute at the time. had a 40 minute commute to an area that gets a lot of snow...so the awd & good gas mileage was now i only have a 5-10 minute drive to work so i drive a pickup. I'm also going to drive the hybrid-version of the Rav4 tomorrow as I'm slightly interested in a crossover and 41/38mpg ratings still speak to my heart having driven my fusion hybrid the past 4 years. 1 minute ago, HazletonEagle said: well thatll rule out the G70 then. Ive consistently heard that on all reviews where the reviewer drives the car though. Maybe the rankings are based on something else? Maybe considering something like fuel economy like you said, and badge recognition/reputation. Maybe the individual reviewer's personal preference on interior or exterior styling? But people who drive it fall in love.

You got the AWD on most of them so its good for all weather. Hatch with good cargo room. Luxurious interior. Sporty exterior and performance. Comfortable enough for daily driving. I think its got everything you could need.

But if youre looking at a Rav you need to wait for that. 9 minutes ago, Agent23 said: I'm also going to drive the hybrid-version of the Rav4 tomorrow as I'm slightly interested in a crossover and 41/38mpg ratings still speak to my heart having driven my fusion hybrid the past 4 years. June 26, 20205 yr @Agent23 if you are concerned about the 0-60 time. Its fast enough to do take down the 8 cylinder mustang GT And then, the same guys that did that video do one here comparing it to the Arteon. Just as Car and Driver said the Stinger is a better BMW for less money, the Arteon is said to be on par with the Audi for less money. This is a nice comparison vid where these guys rave about both cars.

Throttle House, TheStraightPipes, and Raiti's Rides are 3 that Ive been watching lately. Raiti is kinda funny because when he gets to the interior he always points out the map pockets, and console storage by saying how much of a certain foot you can fit. "You got enough room in that door for 2 tacos from taco bell and a mountain dew. In the center console you have a party tray for your planters peanuts, and enough room for about 12 twinkies". Every review is focused on how much food you can stuff in to the car.
June 26, 20205 yr Author And then out of the blue I get a phone call from the Product Manager I did a video interview with last Wednesday (local competitor that I spent 3+ years with after college and another 14 months with in Connecticut). I have NOT spoken with HR yet, which is supposed to be the next (yet to be scheduled) call in my interview process (if they still want me). Well, dude just went ahead and called me and made me an offer (I did not give an answer and HR will put together a formal one to present to me)... and while its pretty comparable ($3k below what I was making up until 7 days ago when my raise went active) there are no bonuses there and with my recent raise raise and 5% raise after making the move, it'll probably work out to a $20k a year deduction to take the new job... but stay put in Syracuse.

June 27, 20205 yr When I was shopping luxury brands I test drove a BMW and a Lexus - I much preferred the Lexus. Their customer service was phenomenal too - I was very happy with the car and the experience. If I wanted to blow money on a luxury brand now I’d go with a Range Rover. Our Ford Explorer actually has many of the same features and was designed to resemble a Range Rover but for a much more affordable price so we went with that.

June 28, 20205 yr It looks like it doesnt know if it wants to be a toyota celica or a nissan GTR. And it looks more Celica to me. I wouldnt say no if I won it but its not really wowing me.

June 29, 20205 yr My advice would be to lease your fun/convenience and own your assets. Whatever car you get will depreciate every single day. Save your money from not buying a car that will make you feel awesome for a few months, and invest in real estate. Buy a 3-bedroom condo in NC/SC at a family-oriented beach (Ocean Isle would be my choice) for 1/2 the price you'll pay in Jersey, then rent it out to vacationers for a much longer spring and summer than you get up north for ridiculous prices. Since you're far away, pay a property management company to take care of everything when the vacationers leave (contracts, cleaning, etc), and make sure to save yourself 1-2 weeks a year to have a free, relaxing vacation in your beach house.

June 29, 20205 yr @Agent23 I think they made this video just for you. These are probably the 3 cars youll be shopping based on what youve told us.
