I have a few friends from high school that went there from 99-04 timeframe.  Some of them would stay there over the summer rather than come home so we could all party there.  I went to school in NC, so when I was home for the summer we spent a lot of time on that campus.  I remember a bar called 15 North, and Matthew McGrory, the giant from "House of 1000 Corpses," "the Devil's Rejects," and "Big Fish" was a bouncer at that door and checked IDs (must have been just before Big Fish was filmed).  There was also a bar called the Rat, where I spent my 21st birthday.  I don't remember much about that night obviously.

tell me everything you know about it!

I was dd when I was in late 20’s drinking in West Chester. Bar closed and my friends were taking forever. Had to pee, found an alley with trash and broken glass and go to pee. The second my stream starts lights come on and cops bust me for public urination. Oops.

Anyway get a small fine drive friends home and then get letter in mail from WCU asking me to write a letter of apology for the incident. Um I don’t go there, went to another school and was well past college age. What is this crap?!?  Anyway I did write a letter and sent it. Told them to go fudge themselves and I was considering them for grad school, but with those shenanigans they were now off my list. (work pays for it so it’s easy money). So went to St Joes and learned that at 28-29 I still looked like a college kid apparently.

Send pics of the bro ads and I will give my opinion

I got my Master's degree there.  It was cheaper out-of-state than the University of Delaware was in-state.  I paid for my graduate studies out-of-pocket, so that was the easy deciding factor.

I thought the school was nice, and I was happy with my education.  I can't really compare my graduate studies with my undergraduate studies, since they're kind of apples and oranges, but I thought they did a good job giving me the nuts and bolts, with very little junk education or "off-topic" education.

Had an almost similar experience one night. Walking back to my buddy's house, had to pee so I walked back an alley and found an alley in that alley. Started peeing on a wall and heard keys jingling. Security gaurd asks me what I'm doing. I say "checking out this wall, it's a really nice wall". Guy goes, "you know you're peeing under a camera?" Looked up, saw it and said "well now I do". He just told to me gtfo, though. I got lucky.

So, probably my favorite psu story.....

I'm up there with my buddy's and younger brother for a game. We go tailgate but my brother goes and finds his friends and we agree to meet up after the game. Game ends, we meet up and go to a few bars but everything was ridiculously packed. We leave, and I said we were going to to find a house party. We start walking and he asked where we're heading. I told him, first place with a door open, and if anyone asks, you know Mike. There's always a Mike. So we to walk into a house, bunch of people, grab some cups and pour some beers. Start talking to people and a guy comes up and asks who we know. Mike. He goes, ok cool, and walks away. My brothers in shock at this point, he could believe it worked. So we stayed there for an hour and left. Went to a few more parties, same thing. We know Mike, everything's cool. So we head into this last house, start talking to people, this big dude walks up:

"who invited you guys?"

"Oh we know Mike".

"I'm Mike, I don't know you."

"Oh no, I mean the other Mike."

"There is no other Mike "

My brother is sheeting himself at this point and I'm getting ready to run, when out of no where this Asian kid goes, "they're with me". Mike looks over and goes "oh ok, have fun guys" and walks away.

I walk up to the Asian and thank him, tell him he saved our ass. He looks at me and says,

"No problem man, I crashed this party 20 minutes ago. Never met these people in my life."

Yes 15 North!! My brothers band used to play there around that timeframe. The Rat was terrible lol. Jakes of course for dive bar - 50 cent drafts.

They were dollar drafts when I was going there. Damn inflation....

It was originally known as West Chester Normal School but, for obvious reasons, they changed that name.

The girls are easy. I just don’t know if they go there slooty or if they train them there.

Theres a job I should have had.

I would have made an excellent trainer........

"....... now arch back a little more..... look me in the eyes......."

Cowgirl 101.

The Rat was a huge hangout for Eagles players during training camp back when they trained at WCU. Stumbling distance back to the dorm they stayed in.

The one toward Blacon or down by Saltney?

okay...i think i've learned enough about west chester.  now what about kutztown???  :excited:

Nestled neatly in between Reading, and Allentown- a perfect location to be caught in the crossfire. But conveniently close enough to Cabelas to buy a gun and join in on the fun.

Class of '89. Great little town. Outstanding Art and TV Production programs.

Brett Michaels was the 1984 valedictorian.

Sam Kinison played Keystone Hall one year.

So long as you are a resident, any of the PA state universities are solid value props for any undergraduate degree.

Kutztown is a goldilocks school - not too big, not too small, not too rural, definitely not urban, kind of insulated/isolated an hour outside Philly, 15-20 minutes from Reading or Lehigh Valley.  Campus is walkable for the most part, dorms/housing/sports on one side, library/classrooms on the other.

ozgoods bar right outside of the campus has some of the best wings ive had in a while. was up there at the hampton inn for a wedding a few weeks ago
