I think the D had the foot on throat and the coaches recognized it. Nothing wrong with that.

Defense was definitely stepping on throats, would nice to see the O do the same.

The D isn't always going to be able to bail them out, and the O isn't always going to have a big lead going into the half.

Nice to get the win team still has room for improvement.

Playing not to lose will get you beat against good teams. The great Patriots, Steelers, and Chiefs teams of the last 10 years tried to score on you even if they were already up by 20 points.

Getting points in the final two minutes of the last 2 games is significant in terms of playing better teams. They just shut it down offensively. They didn’t go into prevent defense though. I like this team so far but I’m not ready to be unsatisfied If they aren’t currently at the level of all time great teams. That’s a bit much

Didn't watch the game.  Only followed it by reports.

Star: the sack squad (9 in a single game!)

Scare: no score in the 2nd half.  Either they let up the attacks or the defense stepped up, not ideal.

Which has zero to do with today, it might rain next week, should I wear a rain jacket today?

They made an adjustment to a more conservative scheme. An adjustment was made. It's the tick-tick-tick, don't get anyone injured, let the D dominate and the O kill clock adjustment.

Bull, none of those teams took unnecessary risks when up big late in games against garbage teams

I’m not saying we should discount the second half offense. It’s a slight area of concern.

But right now we will probably be number 1 in most power rankings. The D looks legit as does Hurts.

Let’s enjoy it. Could be a great season.

Patriots over the years kept their starters in the game when they were up big and would continue to score

Nope, but one can be sure with the Washington team now in the rear view that the coaches and players will be preparing for the next game now, not at game time.

This really isn't a tough concept

2 games in a row not scoring in the 2nd half isn't good, the coaches aren't going in at half time and saying all right boys good job we've got a pretty good lead let's just come out 2nd half not get hurt pop it in neutral in O hope our D holds up and cruise to the win.

If that's the message they are sharing at halftime and that's the plan going into the 2nd half then they all need be fired.

Like I said 4th quarter with a sizable lead, run out the clock be smart, no reason to go chip Kelly hurry up and burn 35 seconds on a 3 and out but 3rd Qrt ideally one would like to score some points.

Lets say you are correct, that has nothing to do with todays game

It's a concern they haven't put up points in the 3rd quarter the last 2 games. I won't even mention the 4th quarter

I quickly realized that guy just wants to argue with anyone concerned about the 2nd half offense.

Covey had a rough game. Not only the muff, but he was consistently getting blasted on returns.

May have just played his way out of a roster spot.

Outside depth at DE, probably the biggest weakness right now

He'll have to park with the fans for a while longer.

If Edwards continues to play this well, I don't know that we'll see Nakobe Dean on the field much this season. He's been the team's defensive MVP thus far IMO.

Nakobe has to earn it. He’s out there being a good soldier and playing special teams though. I agree Edwards has been outstanding this seasons and low key so has Fletcher Cox.

It appears that Dean will have to wait his turn. For now, I think he provides exciting depth with upside. Howie will have his work cut out for him building next season's roster as many players will be looking for raises. We'll likely have to rely on Dean to replace either Edwards or White next season.

Your rating needs to include the whole special teams, not just one guy. Especially the return game... it doesn't seem to matter who they plug in there. This is an ongoing problem for this team, years, and needs to be fixed. Not sure who the special teams coach is, but maybe we need a new one.

Yes, hopefully Howie now sees the need for a back that can get the tough yards to keep the chains moving as well as close out game via the running game.

Can Sermon fill that role? I'm curious what Siri's plan is for this guy.
