Sermon has a different style than Sanders, but he's really not that much bigger. I think today, we just went up against a defensive line that was holding its own and were unable to consistently open running lanes. It seems to me that each season, our offensive line starts off a little shaky and seems to improve after a few games.

Sermon would’ve been hit in the backfield for a safety too basically in this game. The Commanders were really tough all game against whoever was running it today from Jalen to wide receivers, and the backs.

All I can say concerning Sermon is I wasn't impressed with the guy as a Buckeye and there's a substantial increase in the talent level when one reaches the NFL. The Eagles need a tackle breaking back that won't go down on initial contact which is more often than not is the case with the current group, the inability to convert 3rd and shorts is going to be their demise .

He looked really good last year too, but he's really turned his game up this year. He's out there just blowing up running backs who dare to try and block him, and he's making sure tackles. He's surprised me most in his coverage play this year. He's playing like a complete linebacker. People need to stop talking about Nakobe Dean until he can get close to the level Edwards is on right now.

Having Dean for a third still seems nice, but even better the rookie can take his time before he needs to play. Really goes for Davis and Jurgens too..

If you have a **** team, everyone makes impact right away. The step to the NFL is a big one, if you can ease players in you will have way more success eventually. I'd rather have a good team.

September 28, 20223 yr How would you grade the rookie DT Jordan Davis after 3 games? 2 solo tackles, 2 ast, 4 total tackles. 1 Pass defense, and stf 0.5. ----------------------------------------------- Stars Fletcher Cox 3 sacks, 27 sck yards, 1 forced fumble, 8 total tackles Brandon Graham 3 sacks, 24 sck yards, 1 forced fumble, 9 total tackles, 2 tackles for a loss, 1 pass deflected Slay 2 ints, Bradberry 1 int for td, Maddox 1 int, TJ Edwards with a sack - (INT in preseason) he's due an INT this game vs the Jaguars.

I was totally against bringing back Cox, but he’s been very solid at the beginning of the year.
September 29, 20223 yr I just want to point out that Dean projects as a Will or a Mike with his skill set and in most cases would be getting more snaps after his TC/preseason. Most people thought he would take Edwards' job this season. But Edwards is showing everybody how you deal with a talented youngster that wants your job. This is how Wentz should have dealt with the selection of Hurts in 2020. This is how it's done. Take nothing for granted and do what you're supposed to do on the field. Do it so well, that people don't even think about the guy waiting in the wings.
