More lean muscle mass as well.

Unless the efficiency of solar panels is currently at 100%, they will continue to be more efficient. As efficiency increase the amount of power that a football sized field of panels can produce will increase.

The problem with that is the Shockley–Queisser limit. It is theorized that the max efficiency you can get out of a solar cell will be 30% at around 1.1ev. That is what he is referring to. That is why solar cells can not get smaller in their current state.

However, this only holds true for traditional solar cells. As technology grows and new knowledge is attained, there are possibilities of finding other sources of photovoltaic effects that would render that theory irrelevant.

Very doubtful.

In addition to being your physical superior, I also have more people in my life that love me.

Bro, you're 5'9 lmao.

That gives me like four inches on you. I will say you probably outweigh me though.

My whole problem with that hot take......

Have you seen a house with solar panels?  Yes?  Cool!  Now have you ever seen one with 350 panels on it?

You don't have to know what a panel can output or what an average home needs in terms of electricity to figure out that the total amount of panels isn't meant just for homes.

My panels can't even be seen from the front of the house lol.

Nope, sorry manlet. I'm taller and in better shape almost undoubtedly. You do have the upper hand in staying up until 1 am on weeknights, though. I'll concede that much.

Depends on the framing here, but theoretical max for a pv cell in ideal conditions is already more than 30%(link.) Now if you're framing it as max panel efficiency in real-world conditions and with cost as a factor, then that's a different story.

All 350 of them?  Impressive

But you are not lol. You are short, lonely and fat. Why you continue to lie so loudly and often about it is kinda funny though.

My new home is much larger than my previous one.

Haha, I like that your attacks on me come entirely from your imagination, whereas mine are things that you've directly admitted. Like the fact that you're 5'9, unemployed in your mid/late 40s, and you stay up until 1 am on weeknights defending joe biden.

This exchange has been fun, but I'm going to get back to work. I don't want to hold you up, I'm sure you've got another big day ahead of you.

That is also a six-junction cell. The Shockey-Queisser limit was theorized back in the 60's and was based on a single junction cell. You can go deeper in layers to get more efficiency, just as they have, but on a single junction, the theory remains true.

Right, but the context was of efficiency gains as a whole, not limited to a single junction pv cell. I agree that there's certainly a point of diminishing returns for a given technology, which is why I brought up solar thermal plants as a better option at scale.

I'm sure it's been the highlight of your week, but being lonely, poor, fat and short probably doesn't leave you with many other options.

Now get back on that mop.

lmao this interaction is undoubtedly the most significant thing you'll "accomplish" all day, but I guess that's the life of an unemployed dude in his mid-forties who is a financial drain on his family.

OK! Don't forget your wife's credit card the next time you go shopping.

The panels are pretty durable for being so thin nowadays
