I wonder if you would feel the same if his comeback had been with Dallas and he had beaten the Eagles a couple of times.
June 4, 20205 yr Reid (not a player, but the thread title doesn't specify) McCoy Vick If I had to choose a third player, it would be Jackson.

I can see why a lot of people didn't like Jackson because of his attitude. I remember a game against the Giants where he caught a deep pass, gloated and got a penalty. Then this year he got a costly penalty for getting in a fight with a Redskins player.

June 4, 20205 yr 1. Michael Haddix 2. Jalen Mills 3. Nelson Agholor I tend to get particularly incensed by players the organization seems to like, even though they consistently under-perform. Short-term guys would be Babin, Romanowski, Cooper

June 5, 20205 yr I've never really thought about players I've disliked over the years. If they're wearing Eagles green on Sunday and they're out there trying to make it happen, I always root for them. I've never been a boo-bird.

Oh I’d root for them, but that doesn’t mean I didn’t like them. It’s a love hate thing.

He was a great player for us and always played his heart out. IIRC he was also heavily involved in the community here.

He went on a tirade against the mother of his child on twitter and got his little groupie fans to join in...he was still with the Eagles at that time. Lost all respect for him on that day.

Vick went to jail and lost everything. He came back and you never saw him outside of the NFL. No wild parties, no DUIs, no moronic tweets. The guy learned his lesson and turned it around. If that's not what The System is supposed to do, then everyone should just get the death penalty. Vick is a success story from a humanity standpoint. Had he been picked up by Dallas, sure I would have hated him....for being a Cowboy, but I still would respect him as a person for turning it all around and being a better person for it.

Never wanted Vick back, but I agree, outside of one minor hiccup when the Eagles originally signed him.

I don't disagree with that thing you said, but I still didn't want him here, and if it had been the Cowboys he came back with it's pretty safe to say this fan base would have eviscerated him.
